Grammatical Versatility I generally eschew from swearing as much as possible; Indeed, the English language is such a beautiful commodity with so many sublime words to employ that I find it somewhat regretful to hear so many people conducting virtually entire conversations filled with vulgar profanities. Having said that, I was pondering earlier and as much as I am loathed to admit this, if there is one word in the language that is probably more versatile than any other, it is the word, ‘Fuck’. Think about this for a moment; Let’s list the myriad of usages and contexts in which the said expletive can be employed: It can be utilised to denote aggression: ‘Fuck you!’ To express nonchalance: ‘Fuck that!’ To convey a semblance of surprise: ‘Fuck me!’ Consternation: ‘Oh fuck!’ Bewilderment: ‘What the fuck?!’ Dismay: ‘We’re fucked!’ To express unto a person the desire for copulation: ‘Let’s fuck’ To persuade someone to remove themselves from one’s immediate proximity: ‘Fuck off!’ To denote and emphasise the fact that one does not entirely concur with another’s opinion: ‘You’re talking fucking shit!’ The word also has the added benefit of being able to seamlessly combine with a plethora of other words i.e. ‘Mutherfucker’, ‘Fucktard’, ‘Fuckwit’, ‘Fuckface’ etc. And of course, the word itself is subject to a myriad of variation such as, ‘Fuckery!’(An exclamation of distain), ‘Fuckerty’ (implying something to be slightly amiss) ‘Fuck’eth me!’ (olde English), ‘Fucky’ (a term ostensibly denoting something to be of shoddy quality) and so on and so forth. All in all, it’s really rather fucking interesting isn’t it?  |

I agree Naughty, such a usage seems to work due to the converse softness of tone against the perceived magnitude of the word itself. The very same principle is true regarding the efficaciousness in turn, when one whispers into a lovers ear that they wish to 'fuck' them. There's just something so very erotic and exciting in utilising such phraseology from time to time

If used too often, it loses it's impact! Certainly, if wishing to employ the said word into conversation for maximum effect, it is judicious to hold the frequency of its inclusion back, thus maximising the impact when it is finally dropped in

im always tols swearing sounds better with my northern accent i ue the word fuck a lot although im fairly creative with other foul words The Scottish, Tyneside and Mancunian variations of the word are especially noteworthy and carry a certain extra 'kick' to them I find Ah...you're creative with other swear words you say? I am intrigued....please do elaborate

Fuck is the main word in my vocab...so much so that when my son is around, I am finding it peek it's head out when it shouldn't. Believe it or not, he has a swear jar for me now LOL Trouble is...as Trouble does
