What is your Opinion of "clothing optional" beaches?

What is your Opinion of "clothing optional" beaches? I visit Gunnison Beach at Sandy Hook Natl Park in NJ. This is my favorite beach. (Actually, the only beach I go to in NJ) This is a "Clothing optional" beach. Some people tell me they could never go to this type of beach. Would you have a problem going naked on a beach of this type? |

I've never been to one myself, but I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. Personally, I'm kinda curious about the etiquette. Is it a sexual thing? would someone give you a dirty look for looking at them just a little to long? What happens if a guy is... obviously aroused? Might be kinda interesting just to step out of ones' comfort zone. Sarcasm is just one of the services I offer.

I've got nothing for or against "clothing optional" beaches. I don't think anyone should be penalised for choosing to take their clothes off. That being said, there are some etiquette that varies from beach to beach. I personally don't mind if someone walks up to me spotting a hard on. I think it can be quite funny  But there are also some places where people don't just stare, they leer. And that can be a little creepy. Was at this beach resort a few months back and we found a stretch where people were just laying it out. So I figured why not, and so my friends and I did. It wasn't long before almost everyone was giving us funny looks. Took me awhile to realise that almost everyone there were senior citizens. So guess we weren't allowed...? These social rules are a funny thing...

Have done it, and loved it, and still try to go whenever possible... My wife, however, shys away from them since she gained a few embarassing pounds (for her: I think she's still hot, and love to see her naked)... Just make sure you're at a beach where "Clothing Optional" isn't a beach where every guy thinks that it automatically gives them the right to be crude and hit on every female there... There still should be able to be respectful sun-worshipping without aggrevation for those who want it... Have fun! Pleasing women in unbelievable ways for 45 years... You could be next...

Restednready The beach is a very casual beach. You don't get "dirty looks" for looking. It's just natural to look It's not a "sexual" thing. The rangers would arrest for any sexual activities on the beach  And yes, guys do get aroused on the beach....no big deal

Hershey Well, we better get to that beach soon. Before March to be exact Nudist resorts have much more freedom I think than beaches

I think it depends as to how it is organized and the rules. I was at a topless beach in france. No biggy for me...but...it did attract some really really old guys (70+) that just well looked. Nudity is what we are (God knows the supermodels are photoshopped anyway).
