Dancin' in the Rain

Well here we are - the end of July & summer has finally arrived here in the Northeast. After what seemed like an eternity of cool, wet, gloomy days the days of summer are here.
I'm off today for my B-Day (I know what the profile says - it's cuz of an identity theft issue & I only fibbed by a month )anyway - was out doing a few things around the house & it was pretty darn hot & sticky. Then off in the distance I could hear thunder - thank God - a little relief. It started to rain so I ran inside, but then I got this urge - what am I running inside for? I peeled off the sweaty T shirt & shorts I was wearing & grabbed a towel & went out on the deck & stood under the eaves where the rain was pouring off & luxuriated in the feel of the cool freshness - something I haven't enjoyed since I was a . Now luckily I live in a rural area & have 20+ acres surrounding me, so being seen was not an issue.
I'd still be out there but the thunder & lightning are gettin' closer. If you ever have the opportunity you should try it sometime - crazy but fun

Well Hi Playing - not fair - you have a definite advantage living in paradise. You're right tho - it's definitely refreshing & would be a lot more fun to do it with you. It's something I'm going to take advantage of seeing as how the warm weather only lasts a few months here. Hmmm - - is there a trip to Hawaii in my future?? hehehe
Thanks for the response - it was really nice to hear from you

Hi there Two4 - seems we have just the opposite here - too darn much rain. I always lived in the city before moving up here & the thunderstorms in the mountains are even better - sometimes the thunder rumbles on forever, but that's deffinately not the time to be out there playin
