There's a Blue Bird on my Window Sill and a Rainbow in my Sky

Well, it was actually more of a spider and it was on the screen outside my window, not on the sill, but it made me think of the song so that's why I had that as a title for my post. Besides, my poetic license was revoked a while ago and I haven't gotten it back yet. Oh yeah, and I now know, thanks to the internets, that, that particular song was sung by Doris Day.

So yeah, there was this spider hanging out on the screen of the window outside my office at work. All day. Not in the corner of the window, or off to one side, but right smack dab in the middle. It was a pretty big one too. At least, as far as leg spans go.

I found it to be a little disconcerting to have it there. I kept on finding myself checking over my shoulder to make sure it wasn't calling for reinforcements and getting ready to jump me. It never moved though. All day.

I was wondering if it was sleeping? After a long night of nocturnal nourishment kinda thing. I assume spiders sleep at some point. I've heard it said that it's best to let sleeping dogs lie and I was thinking the same probably goes for spiders.

Now I'm wondering if it saw my window screen as some kind of super duper spider web type thing. Whether it felt that it had reached the Nirvana of nets, so to speak. I assume spiders can reach a state of Nirvana as well.

Anyway, it's gone now and that bugs me.
