WHAT DO POINTS MAKE?  In the television show, Play Your Cards Right, its presenter Bruce Forsyth would ask the audience, "What do points make?" The audience would always shout back, "Prizes!" Well, I have earned 65,006 points while being on this site. I’m not sure how I got them. And I’m not sure what I can do with these points but I’m sure, knowing Senior Sizzle, they don’t make prizes. What can you do with points? What do you do with your points? I’ve noticed that a few bloggers do points giveaways. Perhaps I should give away my points for prizes because points always mean prizes to me! In my teenage angst-ridden years I started to write a book grandly titled The Point. But I gave up after the first page as there seemed to be no point to life. What is the point to life? In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams says 42!     |

from what i read points are good for sending IM's to people that can not receive them. points are good for saving, something like pennies. when you collect enough of them... it is to heavy a burden to use them. you could always get a jar to keep your points in there is a world of difference between insane and stupid

42 is as good an answer as any. When I was young I used to be sure there was, if not a meaning to life at least an answer to some important question, or even just an important question. Giving away points certainly makes bloggers popular. That's one big change I've noticed since returning to blogland; blogland seems a quieter place as well. which may not be a bad thing given the blog wars that took place.

Like you, I don't know how you get points. But the points can be used for many things like enhancing your profile, giving away virtual gifts, buying bling, extending membership and even getting cash!
