SMELLY SEX
SMELLY SEX According to research carried out by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, men and women can subconsciously sniff out the presence of the opposite sex. The research also found that gay men and women are more attuned to the scent of hormones emitted by the same sex. Professor Wen Zhou said: “Our findings argue for the existence of human sex pheromones. They show that the nose can sniff out gender from body secretions even when we don’t think we smell anything on the conscious level.” It's thought that androstadienone, a male steroid found in semen and sweat, gives off a scent favourable to women and that estratetraenol, a female steroid found in urine, emits a scent favourable to men. Courtney Love recently revealed that she turned down sex with Russell Brand, who propositioned her at a luxury hotel with the words, “I've had a lot of grand conversations darling but none of them have ever ended in an orgasm. Can we go in your room?” She said to him, “You're too musky for me man.” Above is the fragrant Courtney Love and below is the not-so-fragrant Russell Brand in bed with Kristin Bell in the the forgettable Forgetting Sarah Marshall film. Can you smell the opposite sex and/or the same sex? Have you ever refused sex with someone because of their body odour? If you had to lose one sense, what would it be – hearing, sight, smell, taste or touch? My sense of smell is terrible - too many cigarettes and hot curries! If I had to lose one sense, it would be the sense of smell because there seems to be far more nasty odours around than there are nice aromas. Only once have I refused to have sex with someone because of their odour, which I encountered after the first time we had sex. |

Have you ever refused sex with someone because of their body odour? It has not been an issue so far. If you had to lose one sense, what would it be – hearing, sight, smell, taste or touch? I think I would choose smell.

We are animals after all... although we try to romanticize it, pheromones is a key component of sexual attraction. Find pleasure in giving pleasure

I am really not sure I can 'smell' either sex, unless I am up close and very personal. And well, by then I already know but certain smells those bodies give off can drive me even wilder Bad breathe can certainly make me real hesitant. I could chose a sense as I am too fond of them all An orgasm a day , makes you so much happier at work and play

I can smell both men and women. I have had sexual attraction to both. I knew it was time to end a relationship when I noticed I no longer enjoyed the persons smell. I have lost my sense of taste. I can determine salty and sweet but most food taste bland to me. If I had to lose a sense, I guess taste would be the one. I have deaf family members and I could not imagine life with out music or birds singing or the sounds of waves crash/lapping the shore. And the sound I would miss most of all, laughter.

Vaginal odour is a topic not much discussed in this site, unlike smelly cocks and balls!

Can you smell the opposite sex and/or the same sex? Yes! Have you ever refused sex with someone because of their body odor? Yes! If you had to lose one sense, what would it be – hearing, sight, smell, taste or touch? I could live without the sense of smell if I had to get rid of one!

I can detect the difference of men and women from smell alone, usually the smell of men attracts me and although the smell of women doesn't repel me (other than their intimate places), I'm not attracted to them by smell. Yes, I turned down my ex boyfriend for being too crusty on the second last week we spent together because he wanted to go round three without having showered after round two... He didn't smell very good just before round two. It was one of my reasons for ending the relationship, I took it as a lack of respect. I already have most of my senses impaired by enough of a percentage to count as one whole sense... Even after my cataract surgery in February, my sight is only 70%, smell and taste are so inextricably intertwined that losing smell causes significant loss of sense of taste, mine is down to 85%, I cannot detect subtle flavours, my hearing is my weakest sense (after years of headbanging while holding stereo speakers against my ears and being bashed in the vicinity of the ears by my older "brother") at about 45% and my sense of touch is fairly limited due to some nerve damage from the jug cord thrashings that my mother regularly administered to me to get her frustrations out, even my fingertips are desensitised (I could never read braille) and since my aforementioned cataract surgery, my left cheek has incurred nerve damage that has added another spoonful of crap onto the sandwich that is my life.

You are lucky not to have encountered a stinky partner.

The thing about deodorant is that it masks what's there. I always prefer deodorant-free bodies. But we all have our smells!
