I didn't think I was until one day my daughter was reading my scheduling book that I carry with me so I can schedule my clients appointments and I usually jot down where and what I;m doing on weekends. She starting reading the one from my 1st year in business. We laughed and cried remembering all the good times and sad times. I know it's not emails but in the same ball park. Well as of this year I can go back and see what I was doing for the last 15years.

Ignore my first comment.

Yes I keep e mails forever - it's so cheap and hassle free to do so, why bother spending time culling them ?

I keep them here......to respond back to those that have already emailed. I remind them of our past...lol

My personal emails, i only keep as long as i need to to prove a purchase or keep a photo etc.~~

In part unintentionally yes. I have thousands of saved emails because I haven't gotten around to deleting them. Most of them are advertising.

I do go back and look at many of those files. There are a lot that I do not open again but a lot of the pictures I do. In fact, I use many of the pictures of travels as backgrounds for my computer which I have set up as a slide show to remind me of the places I have been. Some are funny stories and memes that I have saved over the years, videos from some of the horse shows I participated in including my Century ride.

Funny.
I've been scrubbing an old business email account lately.
Lots of names on there I remember well from those customers, clients & vendors I really clicked with. I'm archiving those while I delete the pure business stuff which makes up the bulk of the inbox. Started out with over 51,000 messages and now i'm down to less than 30,000. It'll take a while.
