Super Powers

Super Powers Had a fun little discussion today about super heroes and their super powers and the question was posed "If you could have any one super power what would it be?" I had to think about this for awhile. There are so many to pick from and if indeed you did have one they could be a curse instead of a blessing if you had the wrong one. Super speed: What if you ran into something while going too fast? Invisibility: Want to be seen sometimes right? What if it stuck? Flight: Watch our for angry birds and airplanes! Morphing through walls: What if you morphed through only to see something you really didn't want to? Heat vision: What if it malfunctions when you aren't feeling so great or you toast something or someone on accident? Stretchiness: There are times when you really need to be firm. Immortality: Like the Queen song says, Who Wants To Live Forever? Super strength: What if you hurt someone on accident that you loved? Psychic Ability: Some things you're better off not knowing. Those were the top ones in my mind anyways and I was left deciding that I couldn't decide on one really. Anyways I'm left knowing that the only super power I have ever had was the ability to make milk.  So, who out there would like a super power of their own and what would it be and why?  |

Teleportation wouldn't mind being able to teleport any where on the planet so i can travel and see the world and the people in it. downside's are you might not know where you will end up, and you would be able to see the world in less than a week.

Ooooh! A good one for sure. Just imagine teleporting into a very uncomfortable situation though....

I'll definitely second the teleportation. Invincibility is always a nice standby as well. As far as the drawbacks you've pointed out, are they really any worse than the ones we face everyday with out super powers? Would watching out for planes and birds be much different than cars and bicycles? You don't need super strength to hurt someone you love, hell I put my ex-wife in the hospital wrestling around once. Psychic Ability: sure there are some things you're better off not knowing but how many things did you wish you did know. I mean if you dig hard enough there are cons to breathing. Everything has a cost, so it's all about getting the best value. It's how we use it.

I never really thought much about teleportation until I watched the movie Jumper, before that I was more of a super strength/invincibility type guy. But since that movie, now it's probably be my first pick. I know you weren't really serious, but I have a tendency to over explain everything. I think too much and I'm not very well equipped for it. No worries, I knew where you were coming from. Just fun to play a bit don't ya think?
