Save A , Ride A Cowboy (What, What)

Morning folks!

Yeah, I'm not dead yet
Been missing in (in)action for a few days, I know lol

Before I forget... I have a little message for Buni...

For the sake of the , woman...can't we just get along??

lmao
Buni used that in a comment on one of my posts...I think it's hilarious lol God only knows where she found that one lol

To all you lovely folks with blogs...I will get to reading and commenting...but there are sooooo many of you lol
What a prolific bunch you are....

Maybe I should have re titled this one "So many blogs, so little time"

But that wouldn't fit with my title scheme
At least...I've never heard of a song of that name

So I have a lot to get through today so I'd best get started lol
This is kind of a catch up blog....so it's going to be all over the place with very little substance

What do you mean "that's normal"?

Firstly, let me just say Happy Canada Day to all the canuckleheads out there
Hope you had a good one!

Secondly, I might as well say Happy 4th of July to all the ex-colonials down south
Should also remind them that we're just biding our time, lulling them into a false sense of security over the last couple hundred years...the Great White North will rise again!!

For years we've been planting crack units of Stealth Seniors in your southern states in preparation
We've been training flocks of Fighter Geese and battalions of Moose Cavalry in preparation for the glorious day...

But I can't tell you any more...just wait and see

Last week also saw the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.... pretty much the last time we beat the English at anything...with the exception of 1967 when we trounced the undefeated world champions at Wembley and 1977 when we took home most of the pitch

Yep, 13-14.....what a score
lol

We have our own "Declaration of Independence"...ok, well maybe not quite a declaration of independence as much as it's a declaration of support for the King in the struggle to be free of Plantagenet ambition - remember this was 700 years ago after all lol

This has to be one of the most touching and universal sentiments ever recorded...

"...for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Isn't that cool?

Think about it for a second....this was written almost 700 years ago....

How many people would fight and die for that sentiment today?

Anyway...what else?

Oh yes.... Big and Rich

Went to see them last night at the local casino....

Wow....they are good...

The enthusiasm they showed for what they were doing is something many a performer nowadays should learn from...
They actually looked like they were enjoying every minute
And Cowboy Troy...he is one big dude

If you've never seen a 6' 5", 260lb, black, rapping cowboy dance...go see the show

And as for the fiddle player....wow....
She was smokin'....
I'd sure love to fiddle with her
I could have drooled on her all night

Ok...I think that covers it...lol
I'm back up to date....
Now to go get up to date on all your stuff...

Get yer erse back hame and get voting on 18th Sept. I think there's still time if ye register online? But ye need to give an address which might be tied back to council tax so be careful if you do.

Ye ken I'm a NO voter and why, in this instance. But if we were fighting for what was described back then, true freedom, I'd be voting YES.

Sounds like ye've been busy otherwise. Aw ra best!

Ermmmm...council tax?
lmao

To be honest, financially it just doesn't make sense....never has, never will.... does anybody honestly think Big Government would ever let the revenue from oil, gas, whiskey, tobacco and tourism etc fall into the hands of anyone else? Not bloody likely

My heart says yes, my head says no....

End of politcal interlude....

When the tide of invasion from the Great White North reaches my area of the "ex colonies" can you ensure that Vella or Sonic are here to accept my surrender? Since it is an invasion heading south into an English speaking nation I'm sure the Scots will be in charge, having about 1,000 years of practice. And I would surrender to either or both of those two instantly!

Take it easy, guns are cold.

I'll see what I can do
I suspect those two might be busy entertaining the commander though
