Coast-To-Coast Tea Parties Put Lawmakers On Notice

Taxpayers descend upon politicians in numbers far beyond expectations

SACRAMENTO ‒ Americans took to the streets to protest wasteful government spending today ‒ with estimated crowd sizes of 5,000 to 10,000 in Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Olympia, Wash., Lansing, Mich., and Sacramento.

At the California Capitol, a sea of red, white and blue U.S. flags waved above a large crowd that surrounded the building and spilled into city streets. Visitors arrived in yellow school buses from surrounding cities.

Sacramento tea party organizer Mark Meckler scanned the scene from behind a platform before the event.

"It's unreal. It's beyond my imagination," Meckler told WND with a dazed look. "I can't imagine anything better than this."

Some protesters shouted at the Capitol building with megaphones: "Hey, tell Gov. Schwarzenegger to come out here!"

"We are leading a revolution, and this is the first day of that revolution," Meckler said. "Politicians will no longer be able to divide our nation. They are taking our money, and we aren't going to stand here and take it anymore."

With booming enthusiasm, the crowd recited the Pledge of Allegiance and began wildly chanting, "USA, USA, USA!"

Their voices could be heard from blocks away as the California legislature remained in session and lawmakers dared not venture outside.

Local businessmen, families with small , military veterans and elderly men and women carried handmade signs with a variety of creative messages.

After speaking with WND, Meckler climbed the stage and asked the crowd, "How many of you have never been to a protest before?"

The crowd erupted in cheers as thousands of tea partiers raised their hands.

"Our politicians think that you don't pay enough taxes," Meckler said. "As we stand outside, the California legislature is in session."

The crowd let out a thunderous "boo."

"We've had it!" Meckler shouted. "We're tired of being punished by politicians!"

They cheered wildly and drowned out Meckler's voice, chanting, "Vote them out!"

Guests included Michael Reagan, Rep. Tom McClintock, singer Lloyd Marcus and Fox News' Neil Cavuto.

"In the 27 years since I came to this building, I have never seen a protest this large," McClintock said. "The silent majority is no longer silent."

He continued, "Some time along the way, we lost our country. Don't you think it's time to take it back?"

The crowd applauded with excitement.

Air Force reservist Sgt. Kevin Steele told WND he returned from his second tour in Iraq two weeks ago.

"I think this is just wonderful to see," he said. "I'm disappointed to see how much things have deteriorated since I left."

Asked for his thoughts on the Department of Homeland Security report warning against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" and specifically singling out returning war veterans as particular threats, Steele said he was baffled and felt a deep sense of betrayal.

"I couldn't believe it," he said. "I'm the guy they're watching now? Give me a break!"

He continued, "You can send me over there and put a weapon in my hands, and now you worry about me? It's disappointing and disheartening."

California Highway Patrol officers, sheriffs and -mounted city police surrounded the event on all sides. There were no noticeable arrests or acts of violence at the tea party.

One Highway Patrolman told WND there were more than 5,000 people at the event.

Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., 1,000 people huddled beneath umbrellas in Lafayette Park across from the White House. The crowd consisted of a broad variety of protesters of different ages, nationalities and political parties.

When the crowd was asked, several Democrats indicated that they were present as part of the protest. Many parents brought their along, who were also carrying signs and chanting.

Speakers at the D.C. event included talk-show host Laura Ingraham, Alan Keyes and Grover Norquist.

The rally combined with another Washington, D.C., party after Secret Service members revoked a permit to meet outside the U.S. Department of Treasury.

One tea partier, Rusty Carrier, allowed all employees at his Culpepper, Va., farm to take the day off and attend the protest. Carrier said he felt the pains of high taxation and the government's reckless spending.

"I don't travel to D.C. very often because I can't do it," he told WND. "Unlike the government, I don't spend money I don't have.

In Tennessee, an overwhelming crowd of 10,000 people met on the Legislative Plaza, spilling into sidewalks and up the hill toward the Capitol building, Americans for Tax Reform reported. Cars circled the area, honking horns.

In Rochester, N.Y., 1,000 tea partiers marched on the county administration building and city hall.

Approximately 4,000 people crowded Fountain Square in Cincinnati, while 8,000 gathered in Madison, Wis., 5,000 surrounded the Oklahoma Capitol and 4,000 attended the Chicago party. Even Rhode Island, the smallest U.S. state, brought 1,000 protesters to its Capitol.

Washington state police estimated crowds of 5,000 in Olympia while 2,500 marched the streets of Boise, Idaho and 1,500 rallied in Austin, Texas. In Lansing, Mich., throngs were measured at 7,000, while 3,000 gathered in Hartford, Conn., and 2,000 Floridians in Jacksonville poured wagons of tea into the St. Johns River.

An additional 1,000 people packed into Market Square in Pittsburgh, Pa., while some 3,000 gathered in Des Moines, Iowa, and 1,500 gathered in Louisville, Ky. There are reports of 7,000 at the North Houston tea party and 5,000 in Phoenix, Ariz., while organizers announced that 8,000 people showed up at the tea party in St. Louis, Mo. An estimated 7,500 packed the Central Valley tea party in California.

The Atlanta event may have been among the largest tea parties, in part because of the presence of conservative talk show host Sean Hannity, who broadcast live from the Georgia Capitol and estimated crowd size at 15,000. Also, as many as 15,000 crowded around the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, as nationally syndicated talk show host Glenn Beck aired his television show there.

Across the nation, thousands of tea partiers sang the national anthem, recited the Pledge of Allegiance and chanted while waving U.S. flags and displaying homemade signs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, did any of you attend a Tax Day Tea Party yesterday? Did you happen to catch the frequent use of the term "tea bagging" on liberal cable TV networks, notably CNN and MSNBC? Do you know the sexual connotation for the term "tea bagging"? What do you think of the so-called "reporters" and "analysts" who have been using this term to describe your fellow Americans who turned out to legally express their political dissent?
makes you wonder if any of the reporters ever has oral sex doesn't it?
You cannot conceive the many without the one.
I didn't attend the one in Redding, CA. It's an 80-mile round trip and since I need to travel there this next weekend, I chose not to break my routine of once-per-month... just to contribute fodder for CNN/MSNBC and the rest of the news manufacturers.
I spent the afternoon perusing the "coverage" interspersed between drafting a letter to my "representative" to let them know I will be doing EVERYTHING within my power to have them removed from office ( or whatever other rememdy the "people" might feel apropos )... if they do NOT vote AYE on HR-1207 ( the "Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009". ) In addition, that letter is about to be sent to every Rep and Sen until I can't afford the postage. Along with those, it will be going out to the local media news outlets and my friends and enemies alike.
No eMails for this kid. I want my signature in their faces! In fact, this issue will actually get my vote in 2010, Muti. That's how serious I am about it. In fact, those who are unaware of HR-1207, can find out about the issue, here... Tax Day
You should also check out MO's Rep. Jim Guest’s State HB 361. It removes compliance with the Real ID Act, which is the NWO's effort to create national ID's for every country in the world--eventually to be converted to the "mark". Think I'm kiddin'... don't you?
The UN's ICAO (UN-International Civil Aviation Organization) is the originating agency, which requires all UN members to comply with their standards, being implemented into the Real ID here, under the guise of "air-safety" and "anti-terrorism". Sounds real good; don't it?
Did you know that digitized facial photos are now the internationally (and by UN Treaty default, nationally) accepted standard "biometric" tool? Did you know that virtually ALL states use digitized photos? Under the Real ID Act, these biometrics are required. Thus, the US has the Real ID Act to accommodate the UN's ICAO.
Fucking COMMIES!
WE, I think the reporters and analysts who were giggling about the term "tea bagger" and ridiculing the Americans who particpated in the 2,300 tea parties on April 15th, definitely know what the term means. They were using it as a double entendre to ridicule the people who turned out to what they wrongly perceived as a Republican/FOX News event. Not so. Republicans, Conservative Democrats and Independents all showed up. Many Americans are concerned about the growth of government, the spending of money we don't have and what all of this will mean for our children and grandchildren. The liberal media can spin this as much as they want, but the concerns will not go away.
As for oral sex, now that should be something both liberals and conservatives should be able to agree upon! We need a universal oral sex program in America! A basic human right!
I could have driven 30 miles one-way to attend a tea party in Washington, MO. Instead, I mailed in my request for filing extension and then watched Cavuto, Beck and Hannity on TV. IF there is a repeat on 4th of July, I am going!
I saw some placards supporting HR-1207 at several of the tea parties. There were some well-informed people at these rallies, some young people and of course some who were just looking to get "tea-bagged".
I just learned the meaning of the term yesterday, and now I can't get the imagery out of my dirty perverted mind. I sure do need some hot nympho-babe to suck on my "tea bags"!
I'll write an email in support of HR-361. If this shit goes through, will banks run your digitized photo through a reader when you deposit money in your account to make sure you're not a terrorist, drug dealer, capitalist or a "right-wing tea-baggin' extremist"? Is this essentially the Mark of the Beast (without which you will not be able to buy or sell)?
Obama is backin' off further federal gun control legislation .... at least for now. He wants to pass universal healthcare and a few other pieces of his socialist agenda before dealin' with the NRA's Wayne Lapier and all us "right-wing gun totin' extremists". Maybe we should move down to Texas with Day and join ol' Rick Perry's secessionist movement!
I didn't know about the double entendre meaning of "tea bagging" until I saw the giggly-ass dipshits on PMSNBC using the term to ridicule the tea party protesters. I Googled it and learned the sexual meaning. I'm all fired up now and wanna get "tea bagged" by some hot nympho-babe!
So what are we going to do on the 4th of July? Rewrite the Declaration of Independence?
The O-Man's workin' at this very moment on a deal with Mexico. He'll use Treaty Law to supersede the Constitution. That 2nd amendment ain't got a chance, now that the globalists have successfully convinced the liberals that they will be part of the NWO, once it's been firmly implanted by disarming the American people.
Sad for them. If they were as smart as they believe they are, they could just read back through the history of all other modern totalitarian socialist/communist regimes to find that once the "social power" gets established, in part through the cooperation of the "elite intellectuals", those same "elite intellectuals" get re-educated... with a brain implant--made of lead. It's the method applied for social superiority by the real "elite"... who just happen to be the guys on top; you know, the only ones who have any guns left after relieving the people of theirs.
What the "liberals" fail to recognize is this: their great fear of the right-wingers having too many guns, if any, should be the least of their worries. Once they find out that those on their left... them's the ones who ain't gonna hesitate to use those guns on them, simply because the liberals are of no further use toward the real agenda. That agenda is not something concocted by the "right-wing extremists", but those of the ultra left-wing. And they couldn't care less about amendments, or even a Constitution. And they will have the only guns.
Good points!
If us redneck right-wingers can move far enough to the right, maybe we can come around full-circle and sneak up on the ultra left-wingers from their left flank. They won't be expectin' us to attack from their left. Maybe we can "radicalize" some of those Marines returnin' from Iraq and Afghanistan and make our last stand with Day and those Texas boys down at the Alamo!
Ya know, Solar, I'm surprised that the O-Man's advisors are allowin' him to move so far to the left so fast. And I'm surprised his handlers are mockin' us tea-baggers by sayin' they hadn't noticed that thousands took to the streets in protest (peacefully) on tax day. That just infuriates the rank-and-file tea-baggers! Guess we're gonna have to do somethin' bigger to catch the O-Man's attention. They wouldn't let us deliver tea bags to the White House. Maybe we can call for a nation-wide sit-in protest on the 4th of July? A nation-wide work stoppage. Nothing in the country opens for business, nothing moves. A day for public readings of the Declaration of Independence and maybe the Constitution too. We'll bring our kids and grandkids out to educate 'em about this country. We'll have red, white and blue balloons. It'll be a beautiful and inspiring day!
Would the liberal fascists have us all arrested as subversives for readin' the Declaration of Independence? Would the O-Man say that he hadn't noticed? Would the Governator hide in the Governor's Mansion?
By the way, Solar, in that DHS report on us "right-wing extremists", they admitted that they're monitoring "internet chatter" and that's how they've discovered some of us single-issue fanatics are against killin' little babies in their mothers' wombs, against takin' our guns and ammo away, against out-of-control expansion of government, against bailin' out every damned business that is poorly managed, etc. They hadn't noticed that hundreds of thousands took to the streets on tax day, but they're monitoring our "chatter" on the internet. We may have to go to some sort of code language here on Senior Sizzle. I think we have some commies monitoring our "chatter" right here on this site. Beware of beautiful women suddenly offering to "tea-bag" you. They are DHS spies!
You think I'm jokin' about that Treaty stuff; don't you?
If you do a search on the net, you'll find a State Dept. document #7277 from 1961, which is the "policy" on US disarmament resulting from the Disarmament Treaty we cooked up with the "commies". Ever wondered where the first ever US gun-registration laws came from, in 1967? Now you know.
Solar,
I know you don't joke about serious stuff like this! I just don't know how to deal with all of this transnational leftist bullshit! It's some new outrageous revelation everyday!
The American people can't write enough letters and emails to our elected representatives who think we're a bunch of ignorant sheep. We can't have enough tea-baggin' parties to protest against a government that regards us as a bunch of whining redneck, racist right-wing extremists. We can't throw enough of the traitorous weasels out of office before they completely destroy this country.
I am truly at my wit's end tryin' to imagine how we're going to overthrow these tyrants who are trampling upon the U.S. Constitution. Though they take oaths to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, they ignore, subvert and trash it every damned chance they get!
I know what our brave and courageous founding fathers did when they finally came to their wit's end and couldn't resolve their grievances through peaceful means. They collected themselves together in Philadelphia in somber unity, wrote up a document which declared their grievances from tyrannical and oppressive rule and proclaimed their independence as thirteen colonies from that rule. I can see no alternative to uniting once again at Philadelphia Hall for a similar purpose. The only question is who to send as delegates from each of our states. Personally, I don't trust any of our currently elected representatives. I would rather send some mainstream American "tea-baggin' taxpayers" than any politicians.
In my personal opinion, some of the things the Second Declaration of Independence should call for are as follows:
1. Special elections in every state by a date certain wherein all federal office holders and state office holders would stand for re-election. The O-Man can keep his elected office IF and only IF he can finally provide undisputed documented proof that he is eligible by birth under the Constitution to hold his office. The Supreme Court will be ORDERED to adjudicate the case whether they wish to or not.
2. A Constitutional Convention shall be convened within one year to examine all areas in which each branch of the federal government has taken upon powers and authorites which should rightfully be left to the States. Such usurped powers must be given back to the States within one year following the closing of the convention.
3. All treaties to which the USA has become a signatory shall be reviewed by the new Congress. In no case shall the terms of any treaty be accepted if such terms shall subordinate U.S. law or the Constitution itself to foreign or international law or rule. If our responsibilities under certain treaties must be abrograted, we will serve notice to signatory nations and tell them we are unilaterally withdrawing from our obligations under the treaty citing our legal obligations under our Constitution. IF the signatory nations object to our actions, we will withdraw anyway and also withhold foreign aid.
4. The Second Declaration of Independence shall be peacefully delivered by an appointed delegation of those convening in Philadelphia. The document shall be delivered to all Governors, all State Legislatures, the Speaker of the U.S. House, the U.S. House Minority Leader, the U.S. Senate Majority Leader, the U.S. Senate Minority Leader, the U.S. Supreme Court, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the Vice-President and the President.
The state and federal government officials will have a choice. They will be allowed ten (10) days to consider their choice. The cameras of every broadcasting network in the world will be rolling. The news anchors and political analysts will be buzzing. Either they can: (a) accept the terms of the American people as declared by their delegates to the convention and peacefully implement such terms OR (b) reject the terms of the American people and refuse to relinquish the powers of office after re-elections. In either case, the cameras of the American free press will record, the printing presses will roll and the blogs will be on fire! Coffeeshops and workplaces across America will be a buzz. There will be no need for violence. Elected officials will recognize that they have lost the trust of the American and cooperate peacefully and professionally. The change of power will once again occur peacefully as it always has. The CHANGE that the O-Man promised in his election campaign will be ushered in! And he will execute the CHANGE that THE PEOPLE have ordered!
I think these are good considerations. However, I have one problem with convening a "constitutional convention", to wit:
It opens the door to a rewrite of the document. And the way things have been going, that's something which could destroy this country faster than CNN or MSNBC ever dreamed of.
We don't need a convention. We need to have a congressionally authorized (with granted legislative-sponsorship power), independent committee--like the TARP fuckers--made up of delegates from each state who can read the constitution (and understand it), and go through every USC Title to compare what is "constitutionally" codified... with what is not, and should not be codified.
A listing of all improper code can be made and then a draft of repeal for all such can be generated and submitted to congress for their vote on it--with no debate. Once that happens, people will know, without doubt, who is working for them... and who wants them in chains.
As to politicians: if the people would reject the existing "party candidates" in the 2010 elections, and install some other people (anyone would be better than the ones we have now), we might see some possibility of the foregoing actually taking shape.
This ain't something which can be accomplished in a matter of some weeks or months--it'll take a few years. But, if it isn't, at least, attempted... we're doomed.
"Now. Mr. Chairman,we have come to the place where we must decide whether we shall serve God or Mammon. Shall we nullify the Constitution at the behest of the money-changers who have unlawfully taken all our gold and money into their own possession, or shall we make a stand here in defense of the faith of our fathers?
My mind is made up. I will stand by the Constitution. If I should fail to do so, I would expect to be met at the train when I go home by a delegation of honest Pennsylvania citizens with 50 to 100 feet of rope. I should expect to be escorted to the nearest tree to be taught what it means to vote for the nullification of the Constitution in the House of Representatives."
...Congressman Louis T. McFadden [R-Penn.] to the House of Representatives; on debate of the proposed Agricultural Adjustment Act [PL73-10], 1933
McFadden was labeled an anti-semitic, by the "progressive"-wing, in order to discredit him, which was an extremely successful tactic... and you can see the results of that all about us.
    As to politicians: if the people would reject the existing "party candidates" in the 2010 elections, and install some other people (anyone would be better than the ones we have now), we might see some possibility of the foregoing actually taking shape.
    This ain't something which can be accomplished in a matter of some weeks or months--it'll take a few years. But, if it isn't, at least, attempted... we're doomed.
    "Now. Mr. Chairman,we have come to the place where we must decide whether we shall serve God or Mammon. Shall we nullify the Constitution at the behest of the money-changers who have unlawfully taken all our gold and money into their own possession, or shall we make a stand here in defense of the faith of our fathers?
    My mind is made up. I will stand by the Constitution. If I should fail to do so, I would expect to be met at the train when I go home by a delegation of honest Pennsylvania citizens with 50 to 100 feet of rope. I should expect to be escorted to the nearest tree to be taught what it means to vote for the nullification of the Constitution in the House of Representatives." ...Congressman Louis T. McFadden [R-Penn.] to the House of Representatives; on debate of the proposed Agricultural Adjustment Act [PL73-10], 1933
    McFadden was labeled an anti-semitic, by the "progressive"-wing, in order to discredit him, which was an extremely successful tactic... and you can see the results of that all about us.
    Solar...
I've seen that Louis T. McFadden quote before, Solar. Perhaps on your blog. I like it!
Those "progressives" always seem to label their opposition as anti-semites, racists, Nazis, greedy capitalists, big polluters, or something in order to scare the general public. The latest labels are "right-wing extremists" and "tea-baggers". Why do we let those commie fucker DEFINE who we are? We have to do a better job of DEFINING ourselves! O-Donkaphants with big dicks and nut sacks swayin' in the breeze!
