20 year old pussy. Yes my cat turned 20 today. Had no idea she would live this long especially as I almost lost her through sickness a few times earlier this year. Probably lasted this long as I've spoilt her. Imagine what I could do for a man.  Going to put a pic up of her, but knowing the site they will delete it. Have you had a pet last this long?  |

We had a cat live just a couple months short of 20 years. Our vet said the average cat lives 3 years, the average indoor cat lives 10 years, so anything beyond that is a blessing.

Have happy memories of a cat we had when I was growing up. She was just a common or garden moggy and typical of cats slept during the day but went out at night. She lived til she was about 17 or 18. So 20 is a very good age for a cat. Hope she has a good birthday.

Sorry! But never say never, although never easy to watch a long-lived companion go. Too many animals pets need safe secure loving homes, having come from something worse, so don't say no, they need all the good loving owners they can find, even if only for short term fostering etc She could never be replaced, so I know I'll never get another cat.

happy belated birthday. a few years back I had a 25 yr old horse and I gifted her to a woman and a "forever home"...they used to celebrate her birthday with party hats and horsey treats and send me pics of the event.
