Emails....to laugh or not to laugh... Ok, so most of us on here can say we get a strange email now and then. And some can say it is an everyday occurrence! I received two emails within a 12 hour period that were on opposite ends of the spectrum this week. One made me laugh...the other made me giggle. The first one read like this...... Hi 80sbaby71. My name is "Sweet man" (that is what I will call him) and I am 43 years old and live in Oklahoma City. I know this is kind of sudden and you don't know me from Adam etc. etc. but I was wondering if you would like to go to the Foreigner concert at the Lucky Star Casino with me? Its this Friday and the doors open at 7:00 PM and the concert starts at 8:00 PM. So my life has been extremely busy with work lately. I was on a six week trip for work recently in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I saw a Foreigner concert on TV at the hotel and I was blown away by how good they were. I never really appreciated them in the 80s. I like their new singer much better than the old one. When I got home I heard that they were going to be in town and I really want to go see them but don't have anyone to go with. I've been reading your blog and know that you grew up in the 80s like I did. You seem to love the 80s since your username is 80sbaby71 and your favorite music (according to your profile) is 80s hair bands. You seem like you'd be good company so I thought it would be a natural fit. Foreigner isn't quite a hair band although the new lead singer might qualify for hair band status. Anyway, if you'd like to go I'd love to take you. If you would like to chat with me or something before Friday to make sure you feel comfortable with me I'd love to do that. I'm a very nice person and I promise you that I will treat you with great respect. I'm attaching a picture. That picture was taken a few months ago. I'm a little heavier now and my hair is a bit different. I think I look better in person than in that picture. I hope to hear from you. Take care. How sweet is that? Then of course there was the second one I received.... Hi my name is "Fred" (this is the name I will give him) I'm not gay but love wearing panty hose if you can handle that get back with me Ok so sorry if that offends anyone but it made me laugh my ass off~ Anymore I don't take alot of the emails seriously. I don't. They are stupid, childish and for the most part obscenely disgusting! But that is the way life goes....and I get my giggles!   |

I mostly wondered if you went on the date. My theory is that most of the time nice guys do indeed finish last. Congrats on proving me wrong once again!
