Happy...then....NOT!

I have had such a great time the last couple days/nights! Hanging out with a great friend (did I mention she is sexy?) and her family. Cooking, talking...giggling...just plain fun!

It never fails that when I go out to visit my good friend...I always seem to leave my troubles at home...I get in the car and drive and all the stress just seems to melt away with the miles. I like that feeling.

Anyway...came home today. Had to get online and pay some bills then decide on what I can and can't do for mini me's Christmas. Got home, paid bills...and headed off with the flash drive and memory card. Go into the lovely Wally World...make a enlargement for mini me's Christmas present...find the perfect frame...make a couple of small prints...one to send to my other in GA....then go to do the memory card...uh...HOLY CRAPADOODLES! Guess who forgot to delete some pics? Yeppers...that would not have been pretty.

So pay...and head out to car...needing to go get gas....get to vehicle....and.....NO KEYS!

Yeppers...they were locked up nice and tight in the car. SO I call mini me...ask her if we can try the "hold the alarm that her dad has up to the cell and I will hold the cell to the car lock....and pray".....nope! So have to ask (crying) if the ex can please drive across town and come unlock my car. They (mini me, ex and his parents) were getting ready to sit down to dinner. I told him to please eat then come. I was willing to wait patiently.....

So as much as I gripe about the ex...every once in awhile he is a good guy. And I even offered him all the cash I had on me (lol...ok so it was only $1) but he said that was okay.

Hey! It is the Christmas Season. What better time to ask a small favor of someone?

Why does he have the alarm? Doesn't matter. Anyway ....
You need to do what I do ... Make a dozen copies of the key to get you in the vehicle. Put one in your wallet. In a zip pocket in your purse. In Mini Me's backpack. You get the idea. I still have keys to vehicles we haven't owned in years. I'm afraid to throw them away, LOL.

Hey...the way I see it is that the presents mini me gets aren't "material" they are literally things that I have thought out. Things that she will look upon and cherish....years from now.

Well for reasons like last night! That way all he has to do is "drive by" the car...roll down window a smidge...then BINGO....baby can get in car!

But yes...I do have a couple of spare keys...one in the purse I had been carrying....and a friend from work has one (she & I used to live close by to the school.....)
