Friends Network and Testimonials

While surfing the site this morning... came across a woman who had posted a testimonial on one of the guy's profiles we are intersted in meeting. It was the only one he had.

I often take a look at the profiles of the people who post testimoninals on possible future contacts. NOt that I place a lot of stock in them but... this woman had nearly 60 testimonials and over 2000 people in her 'friends' list.

Really makes one wonder whats up with that? None of the woman's testimonials that I read contained 'confirmation' that a meeting actually occurred. I suspect that many (if not all) of her testimonials were posted because she initially posted one on the guy's profile.

That, and inviting everyone in the country to your friends list is worse than useless. We have about 100 people in our friends list at present... that is way too many also considering only about 5 of them have actually met us.

When someone asks to be in our list... a lot will depend upon how closely they match our profile AND this definitely includes the distance.

I can agree with you on that...I let people into my network cause they like what they see. I do have some in my network that I have met but it is no more than 10 to 15 people out of the 8 years I have been on this site. Some are single males that would love to meet me to surprise there lady with a nice bbc

I just think that... someone with 20 times the average testimonials as even people who have ANY and 20 times the friends list... is WORSE than having no testimonials and no friends at all.

Very good point. If someone "EVER" had 2000 friends in their network and met with "ALL OF THEM", something is wrong with her ! I've been on this website overall since June of last year. It's been a week ago today since I joined again and I started with 40 friends. Now I have 24. That's not a lot from June of last year. They have websites now where before their profile and their information is even posted they do a background check. Just a suggestion and food for thought. We "ALL" have to choose wisely or in the end, we will "ALL" loose. That's not fun !!!

By the way... we'd love to meet you sometime... but your incoming email appears to be turned off.

I agree with you. I feel a testimonial should be used to comment on what you actually think of the person or couple, not just I want to screw you. As for friends I have more than a few that should not be there because I know we would never meet. But as for you we are close enough to set something up. and the interest is surely there.

The only people in my testimonials and Friends network are folks who I've actually met. I don't believe in sending invites to people all over the country who I will probably never see in person. I've been on Senior Sizzle since August 2004, and I've only met 3 ladies/couples as a direct result of this site.
