It was some seven years ago... September 4, 2005. A beautiful and crisp September day. Just like today. Seems so long ago. I had just joined Senior Sizzle. For the sole purpose of being able to comment on the blogs I was reading. (Yes, back then you could read most blogs even if you weren't a member... but you had to be one in order to comment).
I originally wanted to be called "smiley". Because I had this almost idiotic tendency to smile a lot. As it turns out some 77 people had already chosen that profile name. So rather than become "smiley78", I opted to be "toothysmile". As far as I know, the only one to date.
I have been a very lazy and sporadic blogger. Then again, that is exactly what I love about my blog. No deadlines. No pressure. I post what I want whenever I want.
Yes, I have been away more than I have been here. But I never really left. Never changed my handle. Not even the name of my blog. "The bright side of the moon". A hint that I am very musically inclined. That I have a tendency to quote old lyrics. In fact, my very first post were the lyrics to a song: "Smile". Just like on this post.
I have always tried to focus on the positive side of things. No matter how hard it was at times. If I didn't have anything nice to say, I tried to keep my mouth shut. Just like my grandma always told me.
I have written some 250 pieces of erotica. And no one is more surprised at that than me. And yes, in my very first piece of erotica I start by quoting the lyrics of an old song. "Avalon" by Roxy Music, one of my favorite bands. "When you bossa nova, there's no holding"... Memories, memories...
After all these years I am happy to see that I have 97 handles watching my blog. I wish that I could one day meet each and every one of you. And who knows? Maybe one day I will. For now, I just want once again to express my gratitude. For being with me. For all the wonderful comments you have left for me. And for the smile you never failed to bring to my face.

I love your blog sweetie...there is never any drama...of any kind. Its nice to be able to visit a blog without cringing...and wondering who it is they are talking such stuff about...and feeling sorry for the faceless person to whom all this venom is being spewed toward. I...like you...am a sporadic blogger too...but I do love to float around and read what other people are up to.

Even though I've not been here for 18 months either, haha I still felt spoken to. Seen you around for years yes.. it's so nice to have that recognition..

I learned something new about you! I wanted my handle to be SheSmiles, but that was taken. Unlike you, I have changed my handle a few times and still haven't found one I like.
And, unlike you, I've been away fat more than I have been here. I just moved to a new area and, if nothing else, maybe I learn where some of the hot spots are in my new town.
