Throw The Fucker Out The Window!! So my Christmas related topics continue...I got home from work at about 5pm today, my feet were aching and my<b> head </font></b>throbbing away in a very painful way.  My trousers were a bit too long and sloshing around in the rain filled streets, I assume you get the image of me not being a very happy bunny so I'll get on with the point...I unlocked the hall door and was confronted with a fucking bright pink Christmas tree at the other end of the hall. ITS NOT EVEN DECEMBER YET!!! My mum never believed in putting up Christmas decorations til around the 15th(ish) December so to see stuff up, in the place where I live, already is actually really annoying. The girls in my flat had stuck up random paper snowflakes and other stuff on the walls in my absence. I wouldnt mind a tree and decorations up, nearer the time but I really take exception to a PINK tree. That is just wrong and the most hideous thing I've ever seen, its sitting at the flat window and I was really tempted (in my foul enraged mood) to just lift it up and throw it out the window. But somehow I resisted, possibly my inbuilt nice chip engaged and stopped me. The same damn chip that will stop be actually saying anything to my flatmates about the situation. Instead I sit here writing about it to you, at least I get it off my chest. When do you put up decorations, if at all? Are you a fan of traditional or modern? Thanks as always, Darla   |

well i lived in an household that didn't place the christmas decorations up till the 20th and then didn't take it down it the 11 or 12 of jan. also had the full green tree with all the fix'n and then had the all white tree for her angels so when i moved out i did a very small tree and that's it... i feel that christmas should be about the people you share it with not the decorations in your house... that's my 2cents. Pink Tree? you don't live in a life sized Barbie Play House do you? though i must plead guilty of almost buying a black one once.  we don't put the tree up until December, but lots of stores put there's up at on September 20th, even the one's they weren't trying to sell(i remember the date cause its a day before my birthday) the only decorations i really don't like are the ones that play Christmas carols. you hear enough of that everywhere else. though i did recently see a Santa that runs around to Benny Hill music. that was cool Excelsior! I don't put up any christmas deco's at my house. Just not enthused about it. Perhaps when the subject comes up, or when the timing is appropriate, you can mention that you were quite surprised to see a PINK xmas tree in the room.. almost shocked. And that pink is rarely ever a colour you would associate with xmas trees (stick fingers down throat} LOL.
