Doors/bridges/gates is my vote, you won't be surprised HG. I think 'slut' would have been my choice otherwise, and many did it : interesting fight between topics, one of wide-range blogging, perhaps inconspicuous and eerr ... say ... the basic game of the average A2F subscriber ? Yet I'm sure that if one wins in july, the other will win the polls another time !

I would hope that ANY topic the blogosphere chooses could be interpreted in a ton of different ways! Some of the most successful posts are those which bloggers deliberately warp -- to wonderful effect. We are looking forward to your contributing again! Apparently On Slut won so I'll not be posting. Boring Boring Boring. I think the only people who should be allowed a vote are those that actually WRITE and post for the symposiums. Never ignore those who care for you you will have lost diamonds while you were collecting stones

Apparently On Slut won so I'll not be posting. Boring Boring Boring. I think the only people who should be allowed a vote are those that actually WRITE and post for the symposiums. Some voters do contribute, some don't... some don't but are good about posting comments on other people's blogs, and since the point of this is to build community, that's a perfectly valid form of participation. (Astute readers have noted that I make a distinction between contributors and participants: Contributors are those who offer a post, and participants are those who either read or comment. Every writer needs readers!) Sometimes people will look over a few symposiums before jumping in... I want them coming back to vote, if it makes contributing easier... As for sitting this one out -- contributing is never mandatory, of course: Nothing about the symposium is. But I'd like to offer a thought: I've seen a number of people who weren't comfortable with a given topic say they weren't... and then come up with some damned fine contributions. Hell, even talking about why you don't like the topic would be fair: It's not an easy topic, and it's controversial... which is why it's GREAT for a symposium. Hope you'll at least mull contributing... and that you'll read the other contributions. If nothing else, please come back next month and vote for another topic! I may participate after all... on one hand the topic of choice is distasteful to me. Namely: It is a word I never use. I have never called anybody such and the one time a bf called me that it stopped sex cold. No guarantees.

I have never called anybody such and the one time a bf called me that it stopped sex cold. No guarantees. It is a word that is used cruelly... but it is also a word that people who have embraced their own sexuality have attempted to take back. I strongly suspect we will hear from many sides of it -- those who embrace their sluttiness, those who enjoy their sexuality but reject the word, those who can't even consider the word, and those who aren't arsed one way or another, as long as the food is good. However you choose to explore it will be very welcome.
