KEEPING ONE EYE ON THE SCALE

I'm 6 ft, 3, and my best weight at the age I am now is 200.

After I caught myself bloating up to 232 pounds last summer, I've been monitoring my weight this year..

The scale shows me at 206 on July 27th. and I'm due to step back on the scale later this morning. I believe I've stayed about the same since my last weigh-in.

Do you have trouble keeping your weight down to a reasonable amount?

EVERYONE I know has trouble with their weight...

The second picture below shows a breakfast i enjoy. Cooked carrots, brown rice, i/2 of a baked chicken breast, magnetized water, and a handful of health supplements.

The battle of the bulge seems to be just one of those constant battles of life, doesn't it ?

You're just SO right, C.. It's really depressing for the people I've known who have gone on those diets and lost 40 or 50 pounds, and then gain it all back a few months after they go off the diets.

You are what we used to term "lean and mean", SGT. But I know you're not mean, but a nice person... dave.

Never had a problem keeping my weight ok. 6ft and 180 +- 3lbs. for several yrs now. I just cut down on sweets when the weight drifts. up.
You're really at a perfect weight, Justskin. When I was younger and lived in the Hollywood area I stayed at 180 or under without any problem.

I've never had any interest in sweet things. I actually don't like anything sweet, and even buy Katschup without any sweetener in it.

My big interest in food is grease and salt. YUMmmm. lol.

I have most of the trouble keeping my weight under control during the summers here, when I'm mostly housebound because of the heat during the day. The winter months are much easier for me because during the cool weather I'm pretty active all the time.

I bet hitting those little gulf balls is good exercise for you.. love, david

you eat chicken and rice and veggies for your breakfast??????

my breakfast is toast and orange juice..
Yes I do, sweet silkiness... I find if I eat a pretty large breakfast at around 6 AM, it tapers off my appetite all day.. I try not to eat very much for lunch or dinner, and then try not to eat anything from 6 PM on..

I like to always have some protein like chicken, pork, or even a hamburg without the bun for breakfast. Toast and juice wouldn't do it for me.. hugs, david

Until I was in my fifties, I never had trouble with my weight, and could eat just about anything and I would stay around 185.

I find I have much more of an appetite now, and food tastes better to me. I don't like anything sweet, my big problem is all sorts of nuts. I could easily live on large portions of all sorts of mixed nuts..

My father was overweight from the time he was forty until he died at 92. I read everything I can find on nutrition and try all sorts of programs to see if they work for me. Mostly, for me, it's a matter of self discipline and pushing myself away from the table.

Good luck with your program, C. I slide all the time too.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.
