Does David Stardust really live and love--and who cares?

Does David Stardust live and love? (And who cares?)

Do I need to write that David Stardust is not my real name?

David Stardust is an alter ego. A fictitious character kin to a comic book figure.

Oh, it's true that most of what I write actually happened to me, sort of, and I'm pretty much all over the book when it comes to writing about everything.

This blog has always been my way of writing dirty things on bathroom walls.

I don't have much interest in travel, I've been a lot of places in my younger years, including most of the states, most of Europe, and a lot of other places here and there in this old world. I hate driving. I would rather have someone else drive me. I probably won't be around when it happens, but I think the coming automated, self-driving cars will be marvelous.

What you see is what you get in this blog... I don't have hidden agendas or meanings.

Life to me has always been a ball. I've been lucky in my life to never have been ill, and to always seem to show up just when dinner is served.

I like people a lot and feel empathy for most people in all walks of life. But...I don't like living close to people, and really do live in an isolated place on the high desert in Southern California.

You probably don't give a dime about me or who I am or what I do, and that's the way it should be on a site like this one.

I've been lucky enough in my younger lifetime to have had a lot of professional therapy, and also many college credits in Sociology, and Psychology. At one time I was going to become a clinical psychologist, but got sidetracked into the early porn industry many years ago, before it became old and worn. Many women have lived with me, especially when I lived in Hollywood for more than a decade during the early 60's and 70's. I love women, but also
always felt that complete sexual freedom as long as it doesn't hurt anyone (which can become a complicated stretch), is a right, and society has no business imposing restrictions on it. Repression of this basic need leads to all sorts of dysfunction.

What about you?

It would be nice to learn about some of you guys from your blogs. Standards can't read profiles, and besides I personally don't like the way the profiles are set up on this site, so I never go to them even when I can.

Summer has bloomed, and the Fourth is right around the corner, so I hope everyone is getting ready for a great time...but please...couldn't the money spent on fireworks be better spent on..say..helping the homeless.. sheltering stray dogs...handing out condoms ...building more bicycle lanes...painting over graffiti...???

My blog details, in many places, aspects of my life (which I am rather candid about)... Some of my posts have links to other members blogs that supply more info about me. Feel very welcome to read anything in my blog that interests you.

Some added basics include... That I have been an alcoholic but can now stop at two drinks... Have had 3 significant mental breakdowns in my life... Have tried most drugs... Am 184cm tall (that's nearly 6 ft, 1 in)... My "family" has fully disintegrated... I suffer from episodic compound circumstantially-induced depression... I find it almost impossible to lie... I don't like being Australian... My biggest interests in life are Architecture, Economics, Law, Psychology, Human biology, New-age sciences and character-analysis which ties back into psychology... I have never owned a car outright and never had a driver's licence... My racial combination is Irish, Spanish, Jewish and Welsh... Although I have, in recent times presented some of my cooking in my blog posts, I actually hate cooking.

I think the money spent on major public celebrations could be spent helping the homeless etc... too.
Amelia, you are a very complex, person with countless aspects to your personality. Being able to stop at two drinks, is something I was never able to do, and had to quit drinking completely to keep from destroying myself.

I suspect your personality and mine have more in common than in opposition when our two egos lay side by side and softly stroke each other to the peak of exuberance... kisses, david

hi David,,,,,,,,yes i've always known that David is not your real name. but it is a nice name just the same.

The only thing that I think "might surprise you" about me is that I have been a teacher for special needs children for 25 yrs.
Thanks for liking the user name, Siky. Teaching Special Needs kids must be hard work, but at the same time, very rewarding for you. I think it probably takes a person with a lot of patience to do your job!

    Hi, Stardust

My blog is a place to just let out the inner side of me that I keep hidden from family, religious friends, and casual acquaintances. Only the best of friends see some of it, and only lovers see all of it. But sometimes I just need to get the hopes , dreams, silliness, fantasies, etc out and have no one special person in my life to share it all with... so it winds up on my blog.
Letting out our inner selves is a big step forward to sound mental health. Everyone I've ever met has things about themselves that they'd rather not spread around, but at the same time need to express somewhere in a safe environment. This site seems to me to be a good place to do that.
