ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?

ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?

Do you need to always have a light on even when you're sleeping to feel secure?

Does pitch blackness, the sort of darkness where you can't see your hand when you hold it up to your face, put you into a panic?

Have you always had this fear of darkness, or is it something that started recently?

Did the fear, if you have it, start with you when you were a ?

I don't have any such fear of the darkess nights. I enjoy this desert I live on when there's
no moon and it's so dark and quiet one can imagine being on an island far from any
civilization.

When there's no moon, it's so dark and quiet here, where I live, one can imagine being on an island far from any civilization!

I can imagine I'm like TOM HANKS in the movie where he plays a UPS Delivery man who gets stranded due to a UPS place crash, on a small tropical island. He survives by digging down deep into himself until he's finally rescued after years of facing the darkness alone.

The blackness and quiet here, and the warm summer nights, is something both Marisol and I look forward to all during the warm months of our summers.

Because we're so isolated with no one for literally miles around us, we're able to step out of our house totally in the nude with only a pair of shoes and a headlamp (see the picture above), and go for beautiful walks at midnight and later.

If you're one of the people terrified of darkness, I have great sympathy for you, but I have no idea why you're frightened by something we love.

I guess this is only another example of the great diversity of fears and enjoyments in people. If you've read any of my posts over the years, you certainly know all about MY diversities.

no ,no night terror or scarey movie. just seems as far back as i can remember I've always had a night light on and am very confortable with it on.....
I think you're probably among the majority of people, Silky, who sleep with a night light on...I sleep with that little headband LED light that I took the picture of-- off-- but next to me in case I need to get up in the pitch dark where I sleep, and turn it on to see where I'm going.xxxdavid

I'm not afraid of the dark. My room isn't totally dark. I don't put the shades down all the way, and light comes in under the door. We keep a light on in the living room for those who wander at night. (me) and a night light in the bathroom.
Sweet Maddy, I've wondered if you'd return this year. I hope you're doing well, and will stay on this crazy site for awhile..

Most of the people I knew years ago have disappeared.. sigh. xxxxdavid

yUP I'M ONE OF THOSE sleep with the night light on in my bedroom. If I wake up in the middle of the night I want to be able to see right away..
Silky, darling, thank you for staying with me through all my extreme porn writing moments! Did your need for a light on start with you because of some night terror years ago, or because of scary dreams?

I don't even keep lights on around my house at night. My thoughts are that I really don't want any people driving around these sand trails at night-- and probably up to no good-- to even know there's a house out here.

I also seem to have very good night vision, and can see things at night where others don't seem to be able to.

Thank you sweetheart for leaving me a juicy comment...xxxxdavid

I have that movie on old video tape somewhere. I may get it out and watch it again. It WAS a good movie...

I think I'd probably want a little light available in a strange place too. Thank you for your comment little songbird! xxxxdavid
