 People want what they want, you see a lot of profiles that read black men only also. People are funny creatures and we have to accept them as individuals with individual desires. Never take it personal, we are all here for certain things, some more picky than others etc but everyone has something particular in mind.

I agree that people have their preferences. However, sometimes there's an underlining behavioral process going on that often goes unspoken. Somehow white or other women preferring Black men may appear to be the same as white women saying "White Men Only". However, beneath the surface I believe the feelings are quite different.

 I would agree, there are many forms of racism in our culture that will never go away but its not confined to one race. Various races religions etc all deal with it one fashion or another, some more than the others.

 I assume if you are a black male you could be bothered by the statement, maybe even consider it racist. I think it is only a preference. I am a white Cuban girl whose sexual experience was limited to men of my culture and race. Not because I am racist but because I usually met people in my social circle. After my divorce I became friends with a very nice black gentleman and we developed a beautiful friendship. Our friendship soon turned into an intimate relationship and it taught me that sometimes love and great sex comes outside of my comfort zone. I now make it a priority to get to know people of all cultures and races. The only thing we can do in life is allow ourselves to grow and ignore those who want remain close minded. After all it is their loss.

bettyboop, I'm glad you experienced the growth. As mentioned previously, I believe that it IS preference. However, although some maybe based on comfort & what a person likes, I believe for many there is a negative underlying reason.

 The VAST majority of White women will be seeking White men, primarily, or exclusively. That is a natural preference, to the point of being a biological imperative. And that is especially so for White women seeking serious relationships, marriage and procreation, and that will NEVER change.
