VOTE THE BASTARDS OUT

Sunday, September 28, 2008
The Rule of Law Has Been Suspended in Congress
There are reports that "martial law" has been declared in Congress. A cursory investigation reveals that this means that the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has summarily declared that the normal rules of procedure that govern legislation in the House have been suspended.
It is unclear whether a similar suspension of the rule of law has taken place in the Senate.

This is government by total fiat under the color of an "emergency". That is to say, dictatorship.

* - Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) says:

“I have been thrown out of more meetings in this capital in the last 24 hours than I ever thought possible, as a duly elected representative of 825,000 citizens of north Texas.”

Burgess asks the Speaker of the House to post the bailout bill on the internet for at least 24 hours instead of passing the largest piece of legislation in US financial history in the “dark of night.”

Rep. Burgess’ says, “Mr. Speaker I understand we are under martial law as declared by the speaker last night.”

*

* - Congresswoman Kaptur (D-OH) says:

“My message to the American people don’t let Congress seal this deal. High financial crimes have been committed.”

“The normal legislative process has been shelved. Only a few insiders are doing the dealing, sounds like insider trading to me. These criminals have so much political power than can shut down the normal legislative process of the highest law making body of this land.”
“We are Constitutionally sworn to protect and defend this Republic against all enemies foreign and domestic. And my friends there are enemies.”

“The people pushing this deal are the very ones who are responsible for the implosion on Wall Street. They were fraudulent then and they are fraudulent now.”

.................

Here is the litmus test of your Representatives. If they vote for this bill, VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE!!!!

CALL YOUR SENATORS! CALL YOUR CONGRESSMEN!

"IF YOU VOTE YES, I'LL VOTE YOU OUT!"

Here's the main Capital Switchboard number in Washington:
202-
224-
3121

This problem has it's roots in our FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM, and the practice called FRACTIONAL RESERVE BANKING.
Basically, "they" can print money based on nothing, and then the banks CAN LEND TEN TIMES WHAT THEY "SAY" THEY HOLD.

The real problem is INFLATION, brought on by the tons of money ALREADY PRINTED THIS YEAR. Printing more is like drilling a bigger hole in the bottom of the boat.

WE NEED TO CONSERVE OIL...AND WE NEED TO START BY SLOWING THE OIL USED TO RUN THE PRESSES AT THE FEDERAL RESERVE!

If you vote "YES" on this WALL STREET BAIL OUT
we will VOTE YOU OUT!

I am politically active, and would be happy to talk with you, or arrange for you to talk with a group of us, about the real causes for the Economic situation we now face. I'm sure that you know, that the DERIVATIVES BUBBLE is the next plane on the tarmac, awaiting clearance from the tower. There is a better way, and if you do not promote it, then YOU are IN THE WAY!

respectfully
Mark Oxxx

I've come to the conclusion they just don't care. I can't BELIEVE they're bailing out the people who caused this, but the victims--us--get screwed. I've never been so angry at the government in my life, and that's saying a lot.

Peace and love is where it's at.

It's happening, anyway. Too late to stop it, just try to soften the impact.

There has to be something they can do--a middle ground. Not so much money to the banks, but how about giving people forced out of their jobs some relief, too?

I saw this coming back in '68, when Nixon got in. I'm surprised it took this long.

Peace and love is where it's at.

pyro...
I see you here like...what?
once in a blue moon?
and you seem to like 'statistics'
that have no polarity.
Are you saying that the drop today was the worst ever?
or just the most points, but not the biggest percentage?

Tomorrow, as new avenues are pursued, and
Faith Based Initiative Economics has a new Messsianic light
it will climb again.

rattle another cage, please.....

It's about the FUCKIN" FED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"In yet another day that has shaken the embattled canyons of Wall Street, the Dow Jones industrial average fell nearly 778 points, or 7 percent, while the Standard and Poor's 500-stock index lost 106.59 points, or 8.79 percent. The Dow posted its biggest daily percentage decline since the October 1987 stock market crash, while the benchmark S&P 500 had its worst day in 21 years after the House sent the bailout plan to defeat by a vote of 228 to 205."

I'm indiffrent towards the bill and economic situation.

I can see the advantages of both sides though.
A)Pass the bill and have a some what stable economy again, for a while. Effectively they put the pin back into the grenade and hand it off to the next generation. It is a broken plan, true, but we don't have to deal with it.

Don't pass the bill and suffer a depression streak. the Darwinin economy evolves, stupid shit like 'lending out more money then you have' is done less, and these broken ideals which lead us to this position get fixed so they don't happen again. but we Have to deal with the major economic consiquences for such an action.

i just play advocate simply because an argument with no opposition isn't much of an argument.
