I had to bite the bullet!

I had to bite the bullet!

It has been remaining an almost constant 69 or 70 degrees in my house. I have been off work the last couple of days and I have been freezing. Walking around in my flannel lounge pants and zippered fleece jacket. And still I was cold. For some reason I am very sensitive to temperatures and am most comfortable at 74 degrees, even at work. A degree more or less and I am either too hot or too cold. My normal body temperature is 97.1...always, so if my temp is what most people think as normal at 98.6. To me that would be having a fever.

I am such an odd duck, aren't I?

Anyway, finally sick of the chilly house, I bit the bullet so to speak and turned on the heat. But only to 73...cuz I only want to get the chill out, and because I am worried about heating costs this year. They are going to be worse then last.

And so far at 73 I am comfortable, but I am still wearing that fleece jacket. I was trying like crazy to wait till October before I turned on the heat...but I am weak. And I will be paying for it!!! LOL!!

Guess I need someone to come keep me warm!!

In general I'm tolerant to a large range of temperatures. The exception is the first thing in the morning. If the house is cold it is so DAMN hard to get out of bed. Life with a programmable thermostat is so much better. 30 minutes before the alarm goes off the heat fires up. Not as good as "someone" to warm me up, but I do get to work on time.

I have thought about it, just to take the dampness out of the house. I usually like it in the 60s. I did wear shorts to work to day.

I run hot 98.9 is more my usual. My legs don't get cold. While I was with my EX I had to keet my feet outside the covers or they would sweat. I think I could endure it again with the right person.

The programmable thermostats are great for comfort as well as energy conservation.

Well...just like needing a handyman...I need someone to train me on how to use and program the progammable thermostat I already have.

I am such a Dork. All I have been able to do is set it to run at a certain temperature. Did I mention I am a dork?? LOL!

I feel your pain... I generally like it to be cool inside my house. I keep the a/c set to 70 all summer long and feel that is too warm. Yesterday, I realized that I'd felt a chill in the house all day long. When I finally got around to checking the temperature (did I mention that I'm a slacker) it was 70. Am I going crazy? Must be getting old.....

BTW I know how to program a thermostat. If you need a good teacher, I'm cheap. I'm easy too, but that's a whole other story.
