For those of you wondering

I have been spending time with a soon-to-be new family member.

Meet Tank (on the left) Roxy (on the right)

Who would have thought that fostering to adopt Tank could be so much fun?! For those who have never considered adopting a rescue, I highly recommend it.

I've certainly got my hands full. How are you spending your summer?

People looking for a dog should first look in craigs list. There you will find people putting their often well trained family member for adoption for a very small fee. The fee is to weed out free loaders. It is such a relief for the family to know thier family member is in good hands. People give up their pets usually because of divorce, death or placement in a facility. second best is adoption from a rescue place. One of my 2 dog is a rescue.

I been traveling, planning and getting rid of stuff for my move to Belize or Costa Rica. Looks like it is going to be Costa Rica. Belize is falling apart economically.

Craigslist is a hotbed of people looking to scam others. I've seen many "designer dogs" listed on CL and have heard horror stories about people losing money over trying to purchase a dog from that site. That's why I tend to stick with a reputable dog rescue organization.

My hands have been full, and will be for a while, with moving and house remodeling, and they will be for a while. I'd RATHER be filling someone else's hands. A woman's hands.

Glad you have Tank! For you and Roxy! Lol! Hugs

Tank balances out Roxy's energy. They are the yin and the yang. He is a big lazy, snoring teddy bear and I love him to pieces!

That's great! Rescue's are the best. It's even better when you rescue each other! Congrats!

Thanks Rachel. I haven't blogged much about some of the struggles I've been experiencing lately but Tank is largely responsible for helping to pull me out of depression.

Indeed it is! All 88 pounds of him! Would you believe Mr. Big loves to go riding in the car but can't hoist himself up. Guess who has been building some upper body strength lifting him?!

You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat their animals!

That is so true. I have a neighbor that has three German Shepards. She and her boyfriend never interact with them. They are outside in the blistering 100+ degree heat with no shade and no human to love. It breaks my heart into a million pieces.

Kimba, my collie/whippet cross, is a rescue dog. He's now 12 and I've had him since he was 2 years old.

Greetings people. I am making a commentary on an old post. This person has the right idea. Let me do a copy and paste on his comment first:

On 26 June 2020. I say that describes a basic fireman. And more can be said.
