All Set For The Weekend

All Set For The Weekend Brrr! It's cold! I think I found a way to counter my mood. Wine and Chocolate! I am going to need it. My grandkids are having a slumber party at my house tonight. I thought it was thoughtful that the winery included two cocoa dusted dark chocolate truffles attached to a bottle of black cherry pinot noir. Wonder how that's going to taste with the chili I am making for dinner? How are you spending your weekend?  |

Sounds like just the thing to take edge off the evenings events. My weekend, a little of the usual and the unusual .. Ballet tonight Alvin Ailey company is in town, that should be great. Saturday, the usual Karate in the morning chores in the afternoon, and wife heads off to Arizona for a business Saturday evening. I am going to try to stay out of trouble on Sunday .. Wish me luck. Now there are only two things in life, but I forget what they are.

It should all match up very well I would think! Lol!!! Chocolate and chili do go well together. And the right pairing of chocolate to wine goes well too. I sat through a chocolate and wine pairing sampling a few years ago put on by Hershey's. The chocolate was fantastic! Most of the wines were good as well. Just some I do not like though. Lol. And you started way too early to have grandchildren!!!!! Lmao!!  Hugs sexy

I'd be interested to hear how that works out. I would not think fruity and chili are good together. But you don't know til you try. Might be awesome. Don't let the kids see those truffles, which probably would go really good with the black cherry pinot . The honey badger too if that's the Cab,stay warm., hot as balls down this way. Standards are people too.....kinda

Chocolate is always good. Chili is good too and I think they will be good together. I've been thinking about making a crock pot full of chili but haven't got to it yet. I'm planning on cleaning some junk out of the garage this weekend. Vive La Difference

Sounds like a fun evening. I like pinot noir so will have to look for the black cherry pinot. I am going to be starting spring cleanup outdoors and enjoying a left-over Guinness. Hope your weekend is relaxing and "unwinding".

On Saturday I'm going to help a friend move a display case that he bought to show off some of the things he's built over the years. I had to design and build a device to carry the glass plates. So that was fun. Then on Sunday I'm going to help a friend move in with his girlfriend. They bought a house together. Yayyyyyyyyy fun!

I've got a bottle of Crown and a couple of good cigars, I think it time to relax. Problem with the Crown is I have a tendency to speak my mind. I could go to KC for my grandsons birthday. I'll have to check my mood in the morning.

We started the weekend with beer and gyros. I've always been a bit mystified by the wine and chocolate thing. They just don't seem to complement each other. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

I will be doing the usual though this week I was lucky, I will string together 6 days at the gym after Sunday's workout. It got cold after some really freaky warm weather. Going to KC next weekend for more family stuff and the weather is cold enough that I don't need to add to it by being in the same room with the ex.
