Sunday Reflections 08/15/2021

Another Sunday. I've got so many projects going on around the house that I had to pause for a moment and collect myself.

I have realized that having a friend that is going through some serious mental health issues should not have checked herself out of the mental hospital she's been in for the past 10 days. She needs to go back whether she wants to or not.
I can't help her. No one can really help her other than the professionals. It is sad but I see it very clearly now, she needs to be in a structured, controlled environment until she's able to function with the aid of her meds. It's hard to see someone be taken down by their fears and worries but it is what it is. I don't know if she's even capable of knowing that she needs to go back but I'm not the one to make that determination for her.

I've requested two kitchen remodeling companies here in Tulsa to come and give me a quote. I want to get my kitchen updated to what "I" want. I am hoping it doesn't cost a small fortune but I also want this to be my signature on this house. My current plan is to remain here in this house until I'm at least 70, 6 more years. Hopefully the demand for houses in my neighborhood will remain high and I can get a premium price for it when I do get ready to sell. For the time being, I want to get this house in tip top shape.

I need to get back to one of the many projects I've got going on this weekend.

 I'm in the process of learning that what I think are the even the simplest of home updates are NOT cheap.
