 Maybe it depends upon whether your fantasy is simply something you're 'curious' about, or whether its a part of who you are. Wanting to be spanked because you just want to know what it feels like...is different than needing to be spanked because it nurtures your submissiveness. I would suspect that if either or both partners are 'there' out of curiousity, then it won't last. But it the act of spanking nurtures both the dominant and submissive sides of each personality, then I would give that relationship a much better chance of enduring.

 I was just told that once your fantasy becomes true that it is no longer a fantasy that it becomes a reality so there for fantasies don't last forever.
