Married, Single, Attached... Truth

Ok, what's up with the relationship status? If you're married why not say so? Is there a reason for claiming one status while you are actually another? I have chatted with many guys who claim to be single but who are actually married or in a committed relationship. Why not be honest? If you can't start out with honesty, then how could you be trusted in the future?

 We see that all of the time with guys that want to (so called) want to get together with the both of us.
We show ourselves as being attached, why you ask? It's simple, we're not married but we are committed to each other and live together.
When someone lies right out of the gate, you can only expect more lies to follow.

 I imagine they don't post their real status because of something to hide. The only thing they're hiding is their ability to be honest and they are also the ones that seem to insist, "You can trust me". And sadly, not posting the correct status isn't laden on the shoulders of only one gender.
