A man walks into a store and steals $100 dollars from the cash register without the owners knowledge. He returned 5 minutes later and buys $70 worth of goods with the $100 dollars. The owner gives him $30 in change, how much did the owner lose???

 No surely the goods are neutral - he supplied 70 dollars worth of goods and received 70 dollars for them. It doesn't matter wheere the 70 dollars came from.
