I was visiting the blog of HotTx39and her blog entry [post 1209546]

I was going to post this as part of my response but decided to do it this way instead of posting a blog within a blog.When you send flowers to someone this is really saying. Think about the flowers you have the florist put together for you .

If you send flowers that is. And for you married guys; give your wife a listing from this post and then send her flowers. SHE WILL LOVE IT

 One thing I found interesting in your flower list, re: white carnations and Mother's Day. I grew up in the South, and on Mother's Day, girls/women wore or carried red carnations if their mother was living, white carnations if their mother had passed away. Something to add to the list I suppose - regional practice I suppose.

I prefer Pot Plants, Flowers die too quickly here in the Heat. Not hinting or anything tho!

 I have never really thought too much about what flowers mean, not that I am given flowers that often. It is to me the thought that counts isn't it?

To a victorian this was everything. You would be in love with someone and if you were not allowed to communicate. How else would you do it. You can actually say quite a bit with flowers.
