First of all...as per my promise of yesterday...a picture for the ladies...

A friend told me yesterday that she does indeed like it when I post some hunky male picture...not that she minds the women pictures, but she does indeed prefer the men...lol. So Ms. B...here you go...

No down to substance.

I got an email from a friend who regreted to inform me that she had deleted my comment on her post. Well, that's ok. I mean if the post offends or goes somehwere where it shouldn't then fine. I have no problem with that. But really people should just leave it at that...going on to explain and all that just adds to the whole thing. I mean I knew that she and I weren't ever gonna get together. She told me that. And I was ok with it...I guess...as ok with it as any guy can be when rejected. So no need to go into details unless you really care not to offend. But then you shouldn't say things that cut deep. Goodness.

I find that sometimes my comments get deleted because of something inappropriate(in the bloggers opinion) or something that strikes them as too personal. Personal I can fully understand. It might give someone the wrong impression or cause them embarrassment and that's not cool. It's their blog after all, they can leave or delete or whatever if they want. I comment because I have something to say, usually nice or advice or something like that. If they choose to take it differently then fine, do whatever. And no, I'm not being bitter or sarcastic, just plain and honest. I'm not hurt or whatever if you don't want my two cents worth that's not a problem. Seriously!

Myself, I seldom if ever delete comments. And even then only if they are derogatory or racist or mean. And I don't see many of those. If people want to comment I welcome it. You certainly can disagree with me, but as long as you're respectful then I will leave it there. I may comment back, because it is my blog after all, but feel free.

Sometimes I think we read too much into what people say...I'm likely guilty of the opposite of that. I am somewhat oblivious to any devious plans or comments...lol. And for me that's fine. I once got an email from a friend who asked me if I wasn't outraged by a comment? I said why? She replied that it said "this" or "That" and I said "naaa, just some person letting off steam...I'm not offended." She went on to say that she would be and took excpetion with what this person said. No reason to get your shorts tied in knots because of that. If you really don't like the comment, delete it! And if you do and write a short note to the person saying "Hey I deleted your comments because I didn't like this or that." then even nicer...Thank you by the way fair lady for your email and comment. At least I know why and will try to be "better" in the future.

I can only recall one time now and in a previous life, when I had to delete a comment. It had nothing to do with whether the commentor agreed or disagreed with me. I delelted the comment because it was some sort of jibberish and didn't make sense. I wasn't sure if it was from a spybot or a retard. So I simply banned the profile and deleted the comment. There is also one local blogger who only posts "this is a read only post" meaning that no one can comment even if you wanted to. I guess I could always e-mail them if I really felt the need to comment on their post. That's my two cents for today.

I find those "read only posts" annoying. I mean if you have something to say I would think others might want to comment. But then maybe that person doesn't want input...mind made up etc.
