I did say "SOME". I believe there be many sources of fake profiles - as you'll see if you read my other blog posts.

I can't believe that the result of this poll is less than 100% YES ! GSF is right there are many different sorts of FAKE/SCAM profiles from a variety of sources - other websites, cam girls, prostitutes, porn sites, email collectors for sale onto spam/sucker lists, and direct scams like 'send me money for the plane ticket over'. This type of site will always attract this type of traffic as there is nobody much more gullible than a bloke who thinks he's going to get his leg over with some tasty totty.... and common sense goes out the window ! BUT - Let me give one example regarding A F F.... For months there has been a perticular category of fake, hundreds of them all following the same pattern.... gobblebygook username which makes no sense with two numbers at the end, always one photo nearly always model looks and pro quality, no activity whatsoever on the profile, don't send winks/emails and don't respond either (this must rule out scammers who need to interact to achieve their aims), minimum fileds, filled in, one line intro basically saying they are gagging for it and will shag pretty much anybody, and to cap it all they all came online at noon (UK time) every day !!! A few of us posted FAKE comments on loads of them and not one comeback !!! Now who other than A F F has anything to gain by the site being loaded with attractive girls who attract guys to sign up/go gold. I say again - all the other types of FAKE/SCAM profiles need to interact to achieve something. VERY NAUGHTY A F F, misrepresentation.... fraud.... call it what you like !!! A F F should be policing the scam problem and protecting paying members not adding to it and spending time generating FAKE profiles.

There are no doubts in my mind that A FF is responsible for fake profiles among many other fake activities such as fake views, fake flirts, fake hotlists etc. Half the fun is spotting them. I think it would be a real fun job to create these profiles, just like the fake writers who used to make up problems for the agony pages (and advice lines here too!)

One thing springing from the FAKE/SCAM campaign that has been amusing has been the dialogue that has taken place on some of the fake profiles between members who have posted FAKE comments but also taken the piss out of the content of the profile. When you actually read some of the fake profiles they are bloody hilarious.... McLindo is right it would be a funny job.... perhaps we should create our own COMEDY FAKE profiles

I agree with McLindo - we do need to keep a sense of humour about the whole thing or we fall into the trap of getting too bent out of shape about it, wound up and ruining our enjoyment of what we (presumeably) signed up for... ie fun, laughs and copious bonking ! One thing springing from the FAKE/SCAM campaign that has been amusing has been the dialogue that has taken place on some of the fake profiles between members who have posted FAKE comments but also taken the piss out of the content of the profile. When you actually read some of the fake profiles they are bloody hilarious.... I think the Ghanaians are my favourite, with the eastern Europeans coming a close second!

I was once duped by a fake profile, not in any major way, she turned out to be someone I had chatted previously to but wasn't interested in, she was very weird as you can no doubt imagine, hence my lack of interest! Being a member of the group, "The Girls From Ghana" for quite awhile now, just when you've think you've seen it all, the scammers will pull one out of their ass. Now with the question at hand, YES, I agree Adult Fake Finder is putting up a lot of the fakes but won't own up to it. Their little pop up crap that comes up when you go to log in, is the smoking gun. 70 to 80 per cent of the profiles of women ages 21 to 45 are FAKE on here, In fact whoever is doing it someone is getting the toast. Its sad because if you happen to get a real person from your hometown, and are chatting, you ask them for cross streets, and sometimes the answer or no answer is mind blowing, like WTF? Who the hell are you? Its a sad state of affairs that we have to put up with, but life goes on and so do the scammers.

This site does other things to 'engineer traffic.' I've had people do screen shots of what they see when they view my profile, and the info isn't whats actually ON my profile! So, my profile says different things, depending on WHO is viewing it.. Also, I get these emails from guys accusing me of looking at their profile over and over again.. and they think I am looking but afraid to contact them.. I'm NOT looking at them, for the most part they just are not my type! But they keep insisting that 'A.f.f. tells them that I am viewing them..'
