Having been in the lifestyle for a couple of decades as a couple for about half the time (on and off) *pun intended as well as playing solo, I have noticed one very curious trend...
Putting aside the rather stale Calgary>v<Edmonton rivalry that is as much a marketing ploy as anything else, does anyone have any insight on why there are nearly double the swingers per Square Mile perving the streets of the Capital as compared to Calgary.....?
Fifteen years ago, I remember several of us Calgarian lifestylers frequently doing the 275 km road show north for the weekend, clubbing, socializing, and returning home (usually very tired) grinning ear-to-ear already planning the next "Perv Packed" carpool north...
Don't take me wrong here, we did have a club in Calgary (Well 1 and 1/2 clubs from time to time, and the casual weekly wing night at the pub for the mainstream crew) But it paled in comparison to the 3 fairly well organized clubs offered by our northern neighbours.
Even today, often it seems like the Alta chat room may well be renamed the Edmonton Playpen...

Sooooo, I have probably just thrown a 5 gallon gas can into the campfire but I would like to hear from others that are as curious as I am on this as long as there is a little more than adolescent rivalry comments like Edmonton sucks, and Calgary Bites the big one, cuz to be perfectly honest, We are enjoying the good fortune to have two of the best cities offering the highest standard of living pretty much anywhere on this 3rd rock from the sun.....
