So, someone told me they would be here tonight but I never heard from them again. At least let me know you can't make it. I understand that life happens. I stayed in town for this when I should have been away doing some other things.
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

 It is sad when people do things like that. I have had it happen to me, and it is never good. At least some notification that something came up. Maybe they just got too scared of the meeting to actually meet. Whatever the reason, they should have notified you that their plans had changed.
