This is all so depressing...

This is why I don't go out to bars. The whole man/woman interraction thing just freaks me out. Hence, my single state at my advanced age.

Granted, here, in an anonymous forum where men believe that we're all a sure thing, it's magnified.

I went into the Carolinas chat room for the first time as a (semi) local and found that more than half of the men who greeted me included their location in that greeting. Somehow, I find that vaguely insulting.

Proximity does not make you attractive. In fact, shoving that into my face makes you less so.

The whole thing makes me so weary. Don't assume anything about what I'm looking, or not looking for here. No matter what, I do have some standards.
