 Hey Keith, I took the time to read every section and completely enjoyed it. I think I started blogging just after they switched to the current system. I only believe this because there were quite a few posts at the time complaining about the changeover......go figure!!

 Thanks for letting me know that you are still playing BlogLand Jeopardy, LT.

The list has generated debate since the front page of the blogs was created. The "lords of the list" at that time led for many many months, and seemed unreachable.

For me, the best thing about the list is the fodder it makes for my satire.

I have seen just what you are referring to, and yes it is to garner comments for the list in many cases. However, paid members can see if they are quoted, so perhaps it is to notify them that their comment has been seen and answered by the post host?

I have quoted you in this post, since as a golden girl you will see that I have followed you down here into the basement.

Of course this is all in good fun (from my perspective, anyway), and as writers of blogs we want to be read by the widest possible audience. Using the means at hand to increase readership is no vice!

However, it does present itself for satire, and for studying the machinations of human behavior...
