My Blogging Manifesto What a surprise! My return to BlogLand coincided with a Blog War. Oy. Anyway, these thoughts occurred to me as I observed reactions to the fray... I do not agree with the idea that bloggers should be pressured into writing anything they don't feel comfortable with. I do not agree with the concept that not writing something in public constitutes the same thing (or is even worse), as actually declaring something in public. I do not agree with the idea that bloggers should be investigated by other bloggers who then post about their offline lives. I am not comfortable with bloggers making medical diagnoses of other bloggers' mental health to explain their blogging behavior. I do not want BlogLand policed by the righteous. blog on!  |

More importantly, they're not necessary in an online forum, where it's even easier to surf away than it is to walk away. Hello, welcome back sorry you have to experience this blog war going on hopefully it will get better soon. So far things are good but could be alot better for all. Over the years these battles have provided me with much fodder for my satire. They speak volumes about human nature. As many have noted, it's easy to avoid a war. Just ignore it. blog on!

My blog is a neutral nation so far untouched by any warfare. In the past, during the other times I've been on this site, I stumbled into neighborhoods of very unfriendly people. This time I've decided to simply write my little post each morning, go to only those blogs who've come to mine, and to answer all comments in a courteous way.. So far the NSA and Military Industrial Complex have decided to overlook some of my more outrageous sexual posts.. xxxxdavid

This time I've decided to simply write my little post each morning, go to only those blogs who've come to mine, and to answer all comments in a courteous way.. THose bloggers are the troublemakers, they may have thought you were a new kid on the block and would harrasses you to the point of leaving. They try all kinds of tactics, and if they only would realize they are the ones no one wants to hear from. They should take their junk over to the blogs of their 'friends' who appreciate those sort of actions, most of us do not, and we pay no attention to it. If we give in they have won. I post what I want too, if they don't like it, don't visit my blog and please don't comment, their comments are not welcome either. Hang in here with the rest of us, we welcome you back with open arms to do your thing, whatever that is, serious, silly, erotic or just pure junk.

No, I go out of my way to avoid the bickering. I have/did have some long-time blogs I post/ed on, but I tend to walk away for a while when it gets thick. I also stopped blogging for a long time when I had too many watchers and my blog was on "the list" because that's not what I'm here for. I prefer it when hardly anyone knows who I am. blog on!

I'm so far from the war I have dead zero clues as what's really transpired. Actually though what you wrote there DOES clue me in in sort of an abstract way. If those types of issues really have been part of it I'm EXTRA glad I've remained clueless!  PS. I still think your old Blog Jeopardy was a work of genius. Haven't looked at it lately but I hope it survived the changeover to the Penhouse era. Mostly stupid color coding issues changed with that. insert exploding bomb image here

I happened to stumble upon you by reading some comments you left on nassy (?) blog. Damn...a man of reason. I think your reasoning was lost there, but I digress. I too abhor the idea that someone is going to decide for the good of the rest of us. If someone does something to me, I don't need other people defending me. Like you, I will defend myself or apologize, and move on. I think I'll pull up a chair and watch for a while. I love a good writer.
