keithcangetlost Dadgummit! It seems like every time I go for I hike I get myself temporarily misplaced. Sure, I read the map before leaving camp. I have a compass too, but I fear that I don't always take the time to match it with the map. For crying out loud, I'm only going out for half a day anyway... mostly. A body shouldn't need to be Rambo to get there and back again, one would think. (Maybe a dab of Daniel Boone would be in order... ) |

Yeah, well she gets too much mileage outta me getting lost, if ya really want my opinion... Still, I did get us out of that gorge before sunset. The above photo is at the end of our trail, - on the mountaintop. I took the quickest way out which was the crudely cut "Cabin Trail". No bends, switchbacks, or gentle slopes. Just straight as possible right up the frigging hill! Yikes! What a climb that was! We were nearly gasping by the time she shot that pic. blog on!

It's really a bitch when the sun is behind the clouds and you have no idea which way is east or west!
