Celebrity Birthdays

The world is passing me by. I can tell every morning when I read the newspaper. You see, there's this little section on page 2A that lists the celebrities who are having a birthday that day. It's not so much the older ones. Those in their late seventies, and beyond. (When I see those, it's like, WoW! I thought they were dead!).

No, it's not them that make me feel so old.

Nor is it the middle-aged stars that give me that sense of being out to pasture.

It's those younger ones that get me. The ones under say ...thirty-five or so. I'm like, "Who da heck is that?". I've never heard of these people. Jeeze, the only hip thing about me is the aching one at my waist.

Authors note: I did try to keep up by reading the Entertainment section. However it is misnamed, and should be called the Far-From-Entertaining section. I continue to skip it, for the most part.

In my day they only listed birthdays of someone that was well known because they had actually achieved something!

Today, achievement means 15 seconds of "fame" on TV programe, or being involved in a drunken brawl at whatever night club in "in".

Almost glad that "May Days" are over lol

It's even worse when ya read the OBITS and every day in a row for
a week you see someone there every time you read it...every single day...someone that you know...too many funerals...not enough time!

Better to read the birthdays...I'm with you on this one completely!

Just a little food for thought.............

Hey, you're only as old as you feel.... or was it only as old as the woman you feel... I can never get it right

I often read those too, the birthdays, and I watch the obituary segment of George Stephanopoulus listing both famous people who died within the past week and the fallen soldier's names and hometowns released by the Pentagon.
