when a blind date turns out bad..... right after my divorce, i didn't want to sit around and mope, so i waited a couple months to get my act together before i went out on a date.... my secretary set me up with her sister....just a dinner/dancing date... something easy, no pressure type of thing.... i call this girl, her name was lynn, and we talk on the phone.. she's divorced, no , wants to go out, etc... and she sounds good....lol...i casually comment that in case i talk in my sleep, that i won't get slapped... as her name is the same as my ex's... she laughs this off and some more about ex's... the great date comes and i pick her up at her sister's (my secretary) house...we go to a really nice mexican place... in lubbock.. don pablos'... its a nice place with a line out the door most of the time... i flag down 1 of th waiters' i know and he gets us a table... as he takes our drink order, lynn gets quiet... i order a beer, and she gets ice water.. uh oh... beer comes and she decides to have a drink... waiter suggests 1 of their margaritas..frozen or on the rocks... lynn gives then a dumb look, like she doesnt know the difference and finally orders a frozen.. served in a huge goblet with a garter around the rim, realy great stuff.... it comes with my second beer, lynn tastes' it.. says its too strong.... it gets sent back, dumped out....and anothe made... these fantastic margaritas are hand-made, hand-poured... the second 1 arives...just as gorgeous as the first... it sits,, sits,,, sits.... finally lynn takes a sip and says "ooohhh, its too cold"..... the evening went downhill from there... our orders came, but she didn't touch her food hardly... we (me mainly) tried to make small talk, but nothing could break the ice..... waiter kept coming by, checking on us... this was my favorite place to go eat, i entertained there a couple times a week...all i culd do was temm them everything was ok....we finally leave, go to my truck in the parking lot and i drive her back to her sisters... i swear, she had the door open before i got the pickup stopped.... never said thanks, kiss-my-ass or anything....at least the next morning at work, her sister ( my secretary) never asked....we later laughed about it, she didn't (or wouldn't) tell her sister what had happened...so now if you go out on a date and frozen margarita is too cold............. |

Hey Jim I live my margaritas frozen the colder the better but I like my men..warm... and you can drink as much beer as you like... .. I just like margaritas and smirnoff flavor ICE..just thought I would share that with ya...

sorry to hear that ur first experience was such a bad one... but i know it's only gone 'up' hill from there... as for me... margaritas are ok... but i'm a whiskey kinda girl... or a beer... and i'm happy... *TheTxYellowRose*

my consumption depends on whats happening.. mexican food==mexican beer... jalepeno/hamburger pizza==dark beer... sitting around with my friends, playing music==jack daniels rye whisky.... mowing the yard/hot day==cold beer....

I like white wine...white chocolate..white cadillacs...white roses..and white limos...and an occasional white margarita..... no, my favorite color is red..it shows up better..with a white background.....
