Is today over with yet?

Is there anybody besides me who thinks birthdays aren't depressing, but more disappointing? Mine didnt totally suck, but on the other hand, it could've been a whole lot better too! Not that I was counting on much. I learned don't expect much and then you're not too disappointed. I think next year I'll just cancel the whole fucking thing and go hide somewhere.

 Well Happy birthday to you....a little belated but the thought is there. I just look at birthdays as another day gone by on the pathway of life. Unfortuntely there are the disappointments that come along the path The idea is to just step around, or over, them and continue on. Remember, Growing older is mandatory, Growing up is optional.

 Happy belated b-day...!
I've found birthdays become what I make of it...I thank God for each and every one and do whatever I feel like that day. For the past 30+ years I've taken the day off from work (or the Monday after if on Sat or Sun) to enjoy. I've had to share my b-day with a niece so we usually get together for couple of hours at her parents (5 minutes away) for a bit of cake/ice cream.
Many times I've just chilled and go on day trips to wherever the car takes me...LOL
This year is the big 60....I repeat to myself "just a number...just a number..." LOL

 hiya rattailgirl, I have been on and off this site for several years. Your profile is one that has always caught my eye. Plainly put I would love to get the chance to meet you. Not sure about you but I am looking forward to a great summer - lots of outdoor concerts and fun things to do.
