Velvet Underground is awesome and so is that song! I love Sunday mornings if I can manage to get up before everyone else and have a quiet hour.

yes, it is an odd moment when the relationship flips and you become the caregiver.

I wonder how it feels to them? If it makes them feel demeaned in some way.

my mama hated having cancer. she'd taken care of my dad for 7 years worth of Alzheimer's....strong woman. but being sick made her uncomfortable and she didn't like being dependent. it was hard for her.

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

I know it's difficult for my father. He's always been quite independent and is frustrated with the fact that he has to rely on others.
