Did I mention I hate formal and informal company get togethers... A friend from work had a poolside party at her condo last Saturday. Well, more a bbq than a party, although there were modest amounts of drinks, as she had invited a lot of the other colleagues who brought their families. I'm pretty close to her so me and another friend went early to see if we could offer any help. We got there slightly past noon (yea, waaay earlier) and by 2.30pm we were pretty much done, and the first guest was scheduled to get there at about 7pm. So she asked if we wanted to go for a swim at the pool considering the sun was out and all. It seemed like a good idea except I had worn a sundress and did not bring anything to change into, let alone a bikini. So we improvised and decided that I'd borrow hers, except that she was smaller built than i was. Considering I didn't want to waste a good cloudless day (it's been raining the entire week) I figured I'd just borrow a bikini top from her and just wear my thong and sunbathe. The downside to this was i couldn't swim but what the heck, i just wanted a tan. Beside, fortunately for me the thong was black, cotton, not lacy and without any ribbons so it 'could' pass off as a thong bikini  The borrowed top was slightly small though but since I wasn't planning on swimming, the risk of popping out wouldn't be a problem. A couple of hours of lazing around and some of the other colleagues and friends started arriving. A few brought their so there were a few swimming. I figured I'd keep with the dress code and change back to my dress only much later if I got cold. Before joining the group, I slipped on a pair of shorts, also borrowed, that was also too small It wasn't uncomfortably tight cos it was one of her running shorts, just very obviously a size or two smaller, which made it very short. But hey, figured it was better than prancing around in my underwear. Further into the night, one of the girls told me that some of the guests, who were all colleagues, just not very close ones, were talking abt how inappropriate the shorts were cos it was too small and too short. Now a few of them saw me on their way in cos I WAS laying by the pool. I have to admit, my ass was kinda popping out cos the short WERE too short and they were abt 2 sizes smaller, but what are they saying? They would rather I hang around in my thong? I thought that was ridiculous! And being a poolside bbq, a few guys were topless and a few of the other ladies were in their bikinis too. So bikini bottoms were also fine but shorts which covered slightly more (ok, not mush more but that's not the point) were inappropriate? I wasn't too bothered by it but I was more puzzled. If they wanted to know what inappropriate was, it was those guys from the IT dept who don't bother shaving or working out walking around in speedos. Now THAT was painfully inappropriate LOLSorry..I'm not being fair..but yea. I only changed back close to 10pm when it got cold. And full credit to my friend's husband and his friends who managed to work the grill.

Given the circumstances, I also agree that putting on your shorts was the more appropriate attire. There were kids and it was not a Senior Sizzle party. I believe you have a curvaceous body and you have 2 groups of colleagues. The first group thought that the shorts gave you too much squeezing and bulging. Without prejudice, girls who wear shorts which squeezes too much are out to seduce. The second group might have not seen enough - ask them to join Senior Sizzle! Ladykiller0044

Well I suppose you could have put the Sun-Dress back on, but then guys would only have considered that Sexy and Flirty and spent the whole day trying to get a peek up it or see a panty line shining through it, and the wives would have been equally displeased. I guess the real issue was your friend inviting a Hot, Sexy friend to a perceived "Family Gathering" where their husbands could perv on you
