IT IS CROWDED IN HERE

IT IS CROWDED IN HERE Warning: This post may cause a song to stick in your head. I take no responsibility for that or for anything for that matter.  I think my brain must be full. The only evidence of this I have is the apparent shortage of short term memory. I am constantly forgetting where I put my…my….gosh you name it Cell phone, wallet, car keys and my shoes. If I don’t make an effort to put things in the same place all the time; it is if they vanished. What did I have for lunch yesterday? Yesterday let me see what day was that….Wednesday…baked potato soup and half a turkey sandwich. What is occupying the space in my brain? Actually it is not a what; it is a who: George of the Jungle, The Banana Splits, H.R. Pufnstuf, the residents of Lidsville, and Underdog to name a few. No not just the names of long defunct cartoons, but the words to their theme songs, names of characters and story lines. Now that is not nice….. I do so have a life  .I have a gift of almost complete cartoon recall. Not one that I would have chosen for myself, but you take what you get. Old cartoon theme songs have a way of making me smile. That does come in handy from time to time. Until Next Time I am as always watching out for that tree

Time to cut back the Pirates cartoon channel subscription! Sometimes a gal wants to be serenaded with a love song but no, instead it's : H.R. Pufnstuff, Who's your friend when things get rough? H.R. Pufnstuff Can't do a little cause he can't do enough. Once upon a summertime Just a dream from yesterday A boy and his magic golden flute Heard a boat from off the bay "Come and play with me, Jimmy Come and play with me. And I will take you on a trip Far across the sea." But the boat belonged to a kooky old witch Who had in mind the flute to snitch From her broom broom in the sky She watched her plans materialize She waved her wand The beautiful boat was gone The skies grew dark The sea grew rough And the boat sailed on and on and on and on and on and on. But Pufnstuff was watching too And knew exactly what to do He saw the witch's boat attack And as the boy was fighting back He called his rescue racer crew As often they'd rehearsed And off to save the boy they flew But who would get there first? But now the boy had washed ashore Puf arrived to save the day Which made the witch so mad and sore She shook her first and screamed away. H.R. Pufnstuff, Who's your friend when things get rough? H.R. Pufnstuff Can't do a little cause he can't do enough. Hmmmm ok this is scary maybe some of the words do fit you! Friend when things get tough...you sail the sea...you save the day...hmmm ok now thats just too freaky Beach XOXO

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun? I can't remember appointments, but I know every word to defunct songs such as "The Night the Lights Went out in Georgia" or "Harper Valley PTA." I also know the lyrics to a lot of Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, and Neil Young songs as well as a million others. My brain needs an enema.  Elevate me...

I thought I was going to make it out without getting stuck on a theme song 'cuz I couldn't remember the tunes for H.R. Puf'nStuf, etc., but ya got me at the tree. I must say I think it's kind of mean! Of course, I am quite happy not to be cursed with your "gift" of recall for the entire cartoons. Can you believe the number of hours we spent watching that crap? Oops, sorry if I offend! Maybe H.R. and Underdog are your best friends. Sneaking away now after stuffing foot in mouth, BPB

i forget to make sure i put things in the same place all the time and i'll be damned if i remember what i ate for breakfast yesterday...or what yesterday was for that matter!!! ~sings and dances around~ "you've got to acceeeeeentuate the positive and eliiiiiminate the negative!!"

Okay! So here's another embarrassing moment! The first night I was EVER out with IMP and GODDESS and got a "bit" tipsy ... I thought I lost my mobile phone. I borrowed IMP's phone and was calling all of GODDESS' numbers, trying to track her down at two o'clock in the morning. GODDESS rings back my mobile, which happily chirps away ... in my purse! Color my porcelain cheeks BRIGHT PINK why dont'cha! One year later I still haven't lived that down!  So don't feel bad about "misplacing" or "forgetting" thaings.
