Sorry, Not Sorry

Wow... men are coming out of the woodwork! I swear....

Made a store run to look at computers and get a hug and howdy from one of my Senior Sizzle friends and next thing I know I have texts from... well, mostly friends and family. But the guy I met for dinner while on my vacation texted me. Horny and wants to meet up.

Tonight's texts... had I not already met him and had a wonderful hour or so of talking, know he's intelligent and can hold a conversation and be respectful I'd have turned my nose up at him. As it is I'm just chalking it up to "Wow... they really do lose all brain function"

I just started to apologize on here for any offense, but... to quote the Pantene campaign: "Sorry, not sorry".

Yes: That is SOOO me. In high school my boyfriend actually yelled at me once for apologizing. "STOP APOLOGIZING! You... of ALL people in the world have NOTHING to apologize about. EVER. Mother Theresa owes more apologies than you do." My reply? "I'm sorry!" I still feel squirmy at the awkwardness of trying to keep my mouth shut.

Seeing that commercial when it first came out really hit me. It's great. And I am trying to keep it in mind, every time I feel the urge to apologize ... is an apology really warranted? Did I do anything wrong? And if so: am I actually sorry?

So... if my blog comment bothers anybody: Not sorry

He did make texting a wee bit more entertaining. Warmed me up a bit, but still not meeting. Not that I haven't shown up at a lovers door before at a beck and a call (and said lover showed up at my door at a beck and a call too) -- but a well-established long-term lover is of a totally different caliber.

Damn it. Now I am frisky.

And a guy friend will be here soon to watch movies. Platonic - nothing to get excited about. He appreciates that I'm okay with him liking to wear dresses. I told him we'd have a "girls night" - we can wear our semi-matching new outfits (he came by last week to show off the new outfit he'd bought and it was so cute... I admired it so much he went out and bought me one too) and just watch a movie. Nice and relaxing evening.

As for the skirt: I later saved him from losing all his money at the casino so technically he came out even. And it turns out I love gambling when my part in it is "OK: You hit X amount of dollars: Cash out, give me your ticket. Here's a new $20". "Give me! Nope... stop right now. Hand it over" He has addiction issues and can easily get sucked into the lights and sounds and spend $100 or $400 and get into the "I will leave with $400 or nothing!" mode. Gambling usually just stresses me out.

OK... Movie time! Have a great night everybody. And Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, we do that sometimes, especially for the women who deserve to be shown that they are worth giving attention to and I do believe that you fall into that category.

Good for you for realizing that you don't need to apologize when you did absolutely nothing wrong.

Hmmmm, I can't imagine what it would be like to have a lover at your beck and call, but I bet it would be nice, especially if it went both ways.

Hope you enjoyed movie time. Sometimes it is great just sit back and relax and watch a movie with a friend when there are no expectations and you can just be together and accept each other for who you are.

Gambling is one of those things in life that I just don't understand. It is probably because I am too busy conducting statistical analysis in my head to enjoy the game of chance. Who knows.

I suddenly have Mickey & Sylvia - Love Is Strange lyrics going through my head. You know, in Dirty Dancing "Hey, Loverboy!" haha

Gambling: I wish I could do the statistical analysis in my head But I just hate losing hard earned $.

It was
We watched "Breathe In" Long movie, a little odd, but also a little erotic. He didn't know I'd had a similar experience as a teenager thus the movie pulled out old emotions. (in my case: Teen fascinated by, half in love with, and lusting after the man I babysat for. Who incidentally was also a musician same as the guy in the movie).

Dropped into a couple of casinos on vacation in Duluth with my wife. (Taking a look at Galena, president Grant's home town.) Gave Myself a hundred dollar bank to play with. Won both buffet dinners one night, and one of ours the second at the craps tables.)
