Magic Doors

Okay... scenario: gentleman opens the door for a lady. Said lady walks in.... and there's a 2nd door.

I have already been told to stop over thinking it, but this is something I've wondered my entire life. I've been yelled at enough for not letting a gentleman do his part by opening the door first (yes: when I was 14... I actually had to get back in the car, close the door and let the guy open it because he'd been trying so hard to follow what his Mom taught him and I kept opening the door faster than he could run around the car to do it for me).

So... what is your opinion on the best reaction to walking in to find a second door?

BTW: I do always smile and say "Thank you" when a gentleman (or anybody!) opens the door for me. And I open the door for elderly people and mothers and anybody looking like they need it. Or hold it if I'm walking through first and they're close behind.

Guys: I will not apologize for rude women that may yell at you for daring to hold the doors open for them... but I will say: SOME of us appreciate it.
She should wait and let him open the second door
She should hold open 2nd door for him
She should just walk through 2nd door
Something else (please comment!!!)

I totally appreciate someone opening a door for me, man or woman. I'd open the second door myself, (after thanking the gentleman for opening the first door) go through and hold it for him.

Like rascal, I open doors for people just because it's good manners regardless of gender.

Surely a gentleman would open the door, and a lady with class would wait for him to do it?

I always open the doors for the women especially if I'm dating her. If she can put up with me, I will open the door.
Oh, I will open doors for elderly.

Cum to my blog and respond. Have a great kissing fun time.

I have no problem with the FIRST door Though it did take being taught by my step cousin/crush when I was 14. I'm actually kinda used to men opening doors for me. In High School I even had a teacher stop, and stand there waiting for me to walk down the sidewalk to the door to hold it open for me. Not MY teacher, just A teacher. If a guy and I get to a door at relatively the same time, I tend to pause just a second to allow him the opportunity should that be his intention.

The whole reason for this post, well... in addition to my 2nd door confusion... is that my ex commented that women yell at him and get insulted when he opens doors for them. The "I'm fully capable of doing that myself" type. I know there are many like that, ditto many that are insulted at being called ma'am. I've accepted it as a sign of respect since about age 14 too... but I had a professor in college stop class to chew out an older gentleman for calling her ma'am because "I am NOT old!!!!". Poor guy.

A Gentleman should always open all doors for a woman, even the magic ones!
