Gardening Purple has been working hard keeping up with the new, much larger garden. I have already harvested yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, serrano peppers, banana peppers, various hot peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, swiss chard, kohlrabi, and radishes as well as a handful of snap peas (yum) I have TONS of tomatoes on all the varieties except the one I am most interested in, an heirloom tomato named "Mr Stripey" which does have blossoms........here's hoping.......none of them are yet red. hmmmmm....... Well, I was pretty damn pleased with myself for keeping a 400 square foot area weed free and made a funny. I went to tell my the name I came up with for my bad ass and this is how it came out: "I am Purp Pimple......workin' my hoe!"   Amazing how much cooler it would have sounded had it come out correctly as my dumbass thought of it:"I am Purple......workin' my hoe!" My told me I am a dork with too much time on my hands  Maybe a bit harsh........I like to think of it more as creative  Recipe - yellow squash, zucchini, and onions sliced and sauteed in olive oil over medium heat with a pinch of seasoning. Considering that they're vegetables, that sounds pretty good anyway! Couldn't that be breaded and deep fried, though... Ya know......my boyfriend wanted to fry the zuchini and cauliflower! And.......we did fry a couple of green tomatoes.  Pull My Fucking Hair!

Nothing tastes better than veggies fresh from the garden. Tonight I made rosemary chicken, baked potato with sour cream and chives and more yellow squash, zuchinin, and onions. The rosemary, chives, squash, and zuchinin came from the garden. Pull My Fucking Hair!

Hey Purp I thought it was funny veggies cooked like that are so yummy. I do not get it to eat them often though no one else likes it in my house and well any leftovers just get to muchy for me when I reheat them. it was nice seein ya Purp Good to see you too, hope your having a great summer. I bought one of those topsy turvey tomato planters. It has killed two tomato plants. The one I transplanted to a larger planter is still doing ok. Ewww squash. There is nothing that can be done to a yellow squash that will make me like it. Even bribes with bills in large denominations wouldn't work. C'mon........squash cooked that way is delicious! Pull My Fucking Hair!

I've gotten broccoli, chard, lettuce, and onions out of mine. Should get my first cucumber in the next day or two. I have lots of tomatoes but none have turned red yet. I do have a friend who has already gotten tomatoes out of her garden. The squirrels keep eating all of the blossoms off of my squash plants. Tell your daughter that she shouldn't be so mean to you.  I got my first red tomatoes......they were cherry tomatoes but I have loads of other ones that are close. Those naughty squirrels! I had rabbits eating my bean plants and swiss chard, but they stopped. Pull My Fucking Hair!
