Deep Thoughts by Me on a Monday Night ....
Deep Thoughts by Me on a Monday Night .... I read lots of fiction. Science fiction with vampires, faeries, were-animals, historic figures, time traveling warriors, generally in plaids, dragons and wizards. The most realistic I get are the crime thrillers I sometimes like to read. Some are calling them sci-fi or supernatural romance novels. I call them damn good entertainment and mind porn, but on a larger scale they appeal to me because of the more open lifestyle that I choose to live. I am a biwoman and that requires my significant other to have to share with a woman at a minimum. I've noticed a real slant to polyamorous relationships in my favorite fiction. Which makes me wonder if I choose to read what I choose to live or is there just lots more of what I like to read being read? Perhaps a social commentary that more "advanced" or evolved societies expect to be more intertwined and interdependent. All of the heros and heroines of my favorite reads this summer have more than one steady sex partner, and have unusually strong bonds to other "packmembers". They share a relationship with many people and always seem to make it work. Many are bi-sexual in nature but not all. From what I gather this is a quickly growing market b/c younger adults and women of all ages are gobbling it up. I was trying to explain to my very own Knight In Shining Armor this weekend that I would rather read and get lost in that book than any porno, movie or tv show b/c I can get lost in my own imagination. I have the amazong sex to fill in all the scenes, I like to read fantasy to build around it occasionally...lmao....who can resist being ravished by a swashbuckling tartan clad body builder, who just saved you from a demon possessed vampire or werewolf...roflmao.... I know I'm wierd for not liking TV or movies but I just have too many other things I want and need to do. If I'm sitting long enough to watch a movie or a sitcom without doing something else productive, like folding clothes or doing dishes, I need to be doing homework, classwork, or cleaning. School is in full force. We had our 1st suspension today, not sure what grade, but my quess is 8th since I've seen last years problems in the office already...sigh...It's gonna be a good year. I'm kicking ass and taking names b/c I'm getting my raise come Aug 2009 at the latest and I'm going to fight for it as soon as I finish my masters and then my cert. I'm the little mommy, teacher, student who can. Ok I'm done for now. Thanks for listening to my rant, you can go back to your lives now. Miss you all! Love, LeeAnn |

Last night I went to see Tropic Thunder. It was nice to have some laughs on a Monday night. Afterwards I had intercourse (and thanks to Lee Ann's insanely hot ass I want intercourse again right now). In two weeks I'll start watching Monday Night Football. As for books, right now I'm reading one of Ann Coulter's books. She's such a harpie, but I really enjoy political humor. "Swashbuckling tartan clad body builder"...that's a hell of a way to say "butt pirate" LOL.

I think we all need some type of release of some sort in life. What ever makes you happy simply just makes you happy at that particular time. Looking at your hot pic makes me happy at this time LOL. Anyway have fun because life is too short to be stressed and you have alot to do every day.

I hate to venture too deep so late at night (when I should be getting to sleep so I can function tomorrow) but I think you've basically hit a rather large nail on the head, albeit with a hammer to small to make a significant difference. While I don't get into the sci-fi that much, alot of it is taken out of history and then embellished into sci-fi or fantasy. That doesn't really matter because what is at the heart of it is the escapism. In todays world we have so many rules/laws/taboos that you almost dare not even think. These stories allow us the opportunity to ponder the what-ifs without violating someone else's "right" to tell us what to do. All this just makes the "alternate universes" that much more appealing to those with romantic natures. (And BTW, I do own a kilt.)
