Dear Uncle Ted

Our President Barack Hussein Obama has just come out the other day and endorsed the building of an Islamic Mosque near the site where the brave public servants of New York fought and died in the defense of their fellow citizens. I was wondering if you would be willing to share with us your own personal views on this topic with the readers of my blog.
Thank you
Your Honest Johnny

Dear Johnny

There are no words to express the outrage Americans would have expressed if the Japanese government proposed to build a memorial to their fallen soldiers at Pearl Harbor immediately following World War II. We can only hope that President Truman would have ordered our military to fire-bomb the Japanese again for being so rude and stupid.

Slice it any way you want but the Muslim community is being tremendously rude and stupid for wanting to build a mosque so close to Ground Zero in New York City. Instead of using the $100 million for their proposed mosque, I recommend they donate the cash to the U.S. military so that we can build more smart bombs to kill more voodoo Muslim radicals. That would earn my respect and admiration.

Killing more Muslim terror punks would make the world a more peaceful place to live, and safer for more Muslims, and we all know that Islam is the religion of peace. Yeah, right.

Let's call a spade a spade here. If Islam is the religion of peace then I'm a malnourished, tofu-eating anti-hunter.

That fact is that much of the world's terrorism is committed by Muslims in the name of Allah. These voodoo nutjobs believe that, according to the Koran, killing non-believers makes Allah happy.

Moreover, Muslim-run countries provide the funds and other support for this terrorism and indoctrinate their youth to hate all things Western. Killing is good. Peace is bad. And we are supposed to believe Islam is a peaceful religion?

Islam is no more a peaceful religion than Jim Jones was a Christian prophet. Islam attracts violent maniacs stuck in the year 700, reduces women to third-class citizens, discriminates, persecutes and kills Christians and burns their churches, stones people for punishment, and believes in world domination. Saudi Arabia, a Muslim theocracy, goes so far as to outlaw all other religions other than Islam. Sounds like real nice, neighborly Islamic folks.

Sure, there are peaceful Muslims who abhor violence. Not all Muslims are religious whacks who deserve a bullet. But the statistics are alarming. Last November, Newsmax reported Muslim imams preach jihad and extremism in 10% of the 2,000 mosques right here in the United States. The same article reported that, according to Pew Research Center poll, 25% of Muslims in America between the ages of 18-29 believe suicide bombings can be justified. Just keep telling yourself that Islam is the religion of peace.

The President is right when he stated Americans enjoy the freedom to purchase private property and to worship as they choose. He was wrong, however, in not forcefully condemning the rude and insensitive Muslims who want to build the mosque so close to Ground Zero. Not only did our rookie President miss a pivotal and teachable moment but he also missed a leadership opportunity in failing to condemn the Muslims who want to build the mosque near Ground Zero. This is classic "rubbing it in their face" 101.

Proposing to build a mosque so close to Ground Zero is an additional and intentional stick in the eye to the USA and most egregiously to the families of those who were murdered at the hands of Islamic killers. If the Muslims who want to build the mosque can't see and admit that, then they are truly blind to tolerance, understanding and decencyor they have another agenda that warrants increased surveillance by law enforcement.

Bottom line: I don't trust the proposed Muslim mosque to be a holy bastion of peace, understanding, tolerance and love of others. The mosque will attract extremists and radicals who will try to harm America. If you want to see how tolerant Muslims are just have a bunch of Christians stand on the sidewalk in front of the mosque and hand out Christian literature.

The problem America faces is not radical Muslims. The problem is that America lacks fundamental leadership and common sense from our elected officials who worship at the alter of political correctness. Instead of standing with the victims' families of 9/11, New York City politicians chose to cast their lot with Islam, the supposed religion of peace and harmony. Me, I am not singing that tune.

If there is additional American blood spilled in the Big Apple, the politicians who supported this mosque will be as guilty as the Muslim voodoo kooks who love death and destruction in the name of Allah.

Like it or not, there is a line drawn in the sand. Which side do you stand on.

Ted Nugent: The Motor City Madman

Dear Uncle Ted

I thank you for sharing your views on this subject and while I must admit that our President is technically correct it does raise the question of favoritism toward a specific religion. Let me share with you this recent article from the Washington Times.

Hard on the heels of the Ground Zero Mosque controversy, significant numbers of Americans think President Obama is a Muslim. The uncomfortable fact for the White House is the more the American people get to know Mr. Obama, the more they think he is a follower of Islam.
Rumors of Mr. Obama's purported Muslim identity spread in January of 2007 and were tied to Hillary Rodham Clinton operatives, who denied responsibility. The Obama camp responded that "Barack Obama is not and has never been a Muslim. Obama never prayed in a mosque. He has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim and is a committed Christian who attends [The Rev. Jeremiah Wright's] United Church of Christ." That seemed definitive.

But in a February 2008 interview with the New York Times, Mr. Obama said the Adhan, the Muslim call to prayer, is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset." He then recited it, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent." The opening of the Adhan contains the Shahada, the Muslim profession of faith, proclaiming, "There is no god but God and Muhammad is the prophet of God." Stating this before two Muslims is the traditional requirement for joining the Islamic faith.

Adding fuel to the fire is Mr. Obama's family heritage: born of a Muslim father and raised by a Muslim stepfather. Under Shariah law, having a Muslim father makes one a Muslim, though this custom has no legal standing in the United States.

In a September 2008 interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos, Mr. Obama said, "John McCain has not discussed my Muslim faith," a comment which Mr. Obama's partisans say was taken out of context. In July 2008, he admitted to People Magazine he and his wife don't give Christmas presents to their . There is also the president's full name, Barack Hussein Obama, which as the Associated Press gently put it, "sounds Muslim to many." In fact, the name "Barack" derives from the Arabic word for "blessing" and is not necessarily Islamic, but when paired with "Hussein," which refers to Muhammad's grandson, acts as an adjective.
Suspicions were raised by Obama presidential policies, such as taking a harder line on Israel, ordering that radical Islamic terrorists be referred to only as "violent extremists" and engaging in an unprecedented and obsequious outreach to Muslim countries. Mr. Obama's bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in April 2009, didn't help matters much.

These and other reasons are why perceptions that Mr. Obama is Muslim keep growing. An April 2008 USA Today poll showed 10 percent thought he was Muslim and 53 percent Christian. The latest Pew poll, however, shows the number believing him to be a follower of Islam has swelled to 18 percent, while the number believing him to be Christian declined to 34 percent. A new poll by Time magazine has 24 percent thinking Mr. Obama worships Allah.
None of this confirms the president is a Muslim, but it keeps speculation running wild.

Dear Uncle Ted

Nothing could put this vicious rumor to rest faster than to have a nice roast ham served at a Whitehouse dinner. While I still have great love for our President these accusations cannot go unaddressed and I hope to see our leader make a show of support for the hog farmers of America.

I personally was sickened by the mere thought that the muslims wanted to build there, and not respect OUR rights to honor a section of the city; afterall who flew the planes into the towers??

Muslims.

I haven't an inkling in my body of disgust towards the Muslim faith in general, or Muslims. However, this was the site of the Twin Towers, the memories that we as Americans have for this place is OUR SACRED ground and thus, it should be respected.

I've really not researched this at all, but it's my understanding that the community center they're building is 1 mile or so away from "Ground Zero". They're not building it on ground zero.

As for "not giving Christmas presents".... there are a number of christians who do not. For that matter, I know a number of christians who do not eat pork products. I am a Muslim, but it was a Christian co-worker that gave me the run-down on products to avoid that you wouldn't think had pork products in it.
