About city life...

I live in a fairly normal, average sized house in a good neighborhood...

Tonight, my and I were watching tv, and we heard this heart breaking kind of sobbing, and yelling...We didn't know where it was coming from.. and it was quite alarming..

Then later, we heard a door slam and more yelling and sobbing.. and screaming.. and finally the person was not being let back into the house.. so they walked away... quickly.. because it's cold here.. and it's also raining...

I am still a bit upset about that.. and sent up a prayer or two for that family and for that person.

I'm not used to having neighbors airing their problems where I can hear and see it.. It was very alarming.. espescially since there had been two police cars there at that same place this afternoon..

Different neighbors had a door slamming match a week ago.. Front door, SLAM.,.. Back door.. SLAM.. SLAM... SLAM.. and on and on.. for half an hour..
You don't want to get in the middle of something like that..

I realise the world is not a perfect place... There was a big screaming person here at my own place on Sunday.. Totally out to lunch and unstoppable..
Noone showed up to find out what was going on.. for which I was very glad.. It was embarrassing enough...So, I know now how the neighbors feel when this person has his screaming tantrums here.. The neighbors definately hear it...

I don't know what to do in my own case.. never mind help a neighbor.. so..We let it play out until it's over and hope for the best, Right??

ya.. That's what I do, anyways.. because there's nothing else a person can do...

People are people.. and mostly can work out their problems somehow...

I didn't think this was a scarey neighbor hood..and I still don't.. but I might double the locks...

Gentle hugs for you...
Stars...

Looking forward to a good year ahead!!

as much as one wants to help and make sure the crying person is ok....its probably better that u stayed out of it....who knows what may have happened to u if u did try to help

I'd went over der and popped a cap in they ass! J/K....maybe you should think about a simply safe alarm system or something. Glad my neighbors aren't like that. Barely hear a peep in my neighborhood. Not in the city though. Be safe!

Usually there's the odd noisy vehicle and/or motorcycle...This was pretty unusual.. The kids in this neighborhood will be growing up and there might be more of this...oh well....

I have never understood what it is about people that like to let the rest of
the neighborhood in on their family problems. Most of the time we figure
It's just a phase and it'll play itself out.
It never fails they come at the most inopportune times of day or night or when we have company over.

Using more than all the road!

I always tell the wife to lower her voice, the neighbors might hear!
Seriously though, it seems to be more common these days. I think it's best, at least for a female, to stay out of it but as things calm down, ask if things are OK. One never knows these days if there may be some type of weapon involved. If police are involved, things could get serious very quickly.
I have alarm system, as one cannot be too carefree.
